Making own bacteriostatic water was created by Mr Z
Hey guys hope all is well.

Has anyone ever tried to make their own bacteriostatic water? Got this off Google thanks guys.

For 10 ml of bacteriostatic water, you will need 9 units of benzyl alcohol (0.09 ml) and 10 ml of water (or 9.91 to be exact). For 30 mL of bacteriostatic water you need 27 units of benzyl alcohol (0.27 mL). For 100 mL of bacteriostatic water you need 90 units of benzyl alcohol (0.9 mL).

Yes, I make my own. Your formula is correct, but for 100ml I just round it off to 1ml benzyl alcohol to 99ml sterile water.

This is an easy solution to calculate, but for harder solutions use this formula:

(V/V)% = (V.Solute / V.Solution) * 100

Example if you want to make 75ml solution with a concentration of 0.9% benzyl alcohol:

(V/V)% = (V.Solute / V.Solution) * 100
0.9% = (BA / 75) * 100
BA = (0.9 * 75) / 100
BA = 0.675ml

So 0.675ml of BA + 74.32ml of H2O will be what you mix together to get 75ml solution with a 0.9% BA concentration.

Thanks a lot administration! Can you perhaps suggest which water I can use? Distilled water perhaps?

Yes, distilled water but you still have to sterilise it with a .22 micron filter. Or get ampoules of SABAX water which is already sterile and just add the BA to that.

I have the 5ml Sabax water plastic vials which I thought was bacteriostatic water? Or is it just normal sterile water for injection? Doesn't say it contains bacteriostatic water on it tho.

Sabax water is only sterile water without any preservatives.

Quick question. Does bacteriostatic water ever expire? I have one that expires this year and it's the only one I have left to mix my hcg with. Is it good to go or should I get other bac water that's still fresh?

Bumping thread just to ask a question.

Can one make his own acetic acid water too? Strictly to reconstitute my igf1 with it since I can't use bac water for it

Think 00pump was asking if it's IGF-1 or IGF1-LR3 specially.
