Bloodwork advice pt2 was created by MrHydeDr
Hey guys 38 Male about 83kg, so my results in July 2024 were as follows after a failed poorly planned cycle and a poorly planned PCT.

Oestradiolis 88 pmol/L
test 11.2nmol/L
SFH 1.2IU/L
LH 1.1 IU/L
prolactin 230mU/L
cortisol 336 nmoL/L

went on Nolva and chlomid as wise heads had suggested secondary hypogonadism.  Just got some blood work results (5/11/2024)and all seems the same

SHGB 17.5 nmol/L
FSH 1.4 IU/L
LH 1.7 IU/L
OESTRADIOL 18.4 pmol/L
Testosterone 9.1 nmol/L
free test 0.247 nmol/L
prolactin 148
DHEA 2.2 Umol

Some numbers have gone backwards after just pCT 1 after my last results. Is this just a matter of waiting a few months /year and recovering? Or one of those where it won’t recover and my
 body may need some help?

any advice would be appreciated. I still eat quite well in terms of a balanced diet , limited to no alcohol.

That's unfortunate to hear. For guys in this position who's hypothalamus and pituitary won't regulate production of gonadotropins despite trying clomid/nolvadex, the next route of treatment is treating the symptoms caused by the secondary hypogonadism.

Specialists simply don't have the answer to fixing the root cause of secondary hypogonadism with their pharmaceutical options. They will prescribe you the same or similar stuff to get your hormone levels back to normal, but it won't fix your natural HPTA.

Time off is your best hope for that. But long term that would be bad worse for your health if you don't see improvements. So I'd advise to either give it another 3 to 4 months off and see if your LH/FSH are improving, or commit to symptomatic treatment.

Peptides and advanced options to treat the endocrine axis closer to the source of the problem than current treatments like GnRH analogs are not yet approved for medical use unfortunately.

Thanks guys, appreciate the note. Any idea if doc prescribed TRT would help somewhat keep me going? Raising atleast the test levels to boost energy and overall drive?

Yes, of course. But TRT is a lifelong commitment.

Appreciate the info. I’ve got an appointment to just discuss options. Will need to do some more research before signing up for life!

But instead of a cruise , can you go from TRT into a cycle and then back? Seeing as there is no PCT is there a way to safely taper the dosages back down to a TRT dosage? Or do you just drop other compounds and continue with the test dosage at a TRT dosage?

i.e going from 100mg of test a week of TRT, into a Test, mast NPP cycle and then after 16 weeks going back to 100mg of test?

Apologies if my ask is a mess, not sure ex
