Hello everyone,
I am from Belgium, a small country in Europe, north of France. My English is average; I can understand what you’re saying, but for clarity, I’m translating my text to avoid misunderstandings.
I’ve had major issues with depression, sleep problems, and weight loss, primarily muscle loss. Dry skin, digestive issues, etc., etc. I spent three years paying doctors who couldn’t find anything.
I requested a blood test to check my testosterone levels. This was suggested by a friend who used to do bodybuilding when he was younger. My testosterone level came back at 280 ng/dl. In Belgium, the reference range is between 249 and 836. I’m not sure if these limits are the same elsewhere. My free testosterone was 5.08 ng/dl, with a reference range between 5 and 21.
The doctor refused to prescribe testosterone because, according to him, I was still within the “normal” range. However, I’ve always been someone who practiced bodybuilding and karate. I train 5 to 6 times a week. I work as a mechanic, which is a physically demanding job.
Before I got “sick,” I weighed 75 kg at 173 cm with 10% body fat. I was very fit and active. But since I fell ill, I wasn’t really living anymore. It was as if I was watching a black-and-white movie, whereas before, I was watching in color.
So, I decided to take testosterone—maybe a bit too much—but it was finally a relief. I did this for 10 weeks:
375 mg of Test C per week.
Why this dosage? It was recommended by my friend.
I went up to 80 kg with 10% body fat. Then, I started to look into TRT. However, it’s quite difficult to justify in Belgium, even though people are treated with testosterone here. I consulted four different doctors, and one of them insulted me, calling me a drug addict.
So, I started taking 25 mg of Test C every other day, which works out to around 87.5 mg of Test C per week.
With this, my testosterone levels are 990 ng/dl, and my free testosterone is 21.5 ng/dl. This puts me outside the normal ranges.
My question is simple:
Let’s assume I’m interested in a sports TRT. From what I’ve read, you can take 2 to 3 mg of testosterone per kilo of body weight. If I take 150 mg of Test C per week, my blood levels will be completely outside the normal range.
So, when I read that the maximum is 3 mg per kilo per week, what is the target testosterone level in blood tests? 1500 ng/dl?
I’m just asking to learn, as I’m very curious.
Do you need to take additional medications to protect the liver, kidneys, heart, or prostate with sports TRT?
I’m planning to donate blood every 2 or 3 months.
How long can you follow this type of TRT?
Do you need to take breaks and go back to normal TRT levels?
I’ve also done a cycle of Sustanon and Deca:
375 mg per week and 200 mg per week for 12 weeks. It went fine.
I stopped in June. I’d like to start a new cycle in January:
200 mg of Test C
200 mg of Deca
300 mg of Masteron
For 16 weeks.
I currently weigh 79 kg with 10% body fat.
I’d also like to discuss this further, but maybe a bit later.
Thank you all.
