Expiry dates on meds was created by Snaper
I have some pregnyl which expired 3 months ago but never got to use them due to screwing up my pct on a prev cycle.

I suppose there is a reason why they put a exp date on these stuff, but just wondering if I could take a chance and still use it since it's still sealed and looks fine from the eye.

Or it is like food... After exp date you eat it at own risk kinda thing..?

Here is what Doctari wrote awhile back:

Thunda, only time you really need to worry for toxicity, for when meds reach their expiry dates, is when you take some expired antibiotics. Otherwise, the ingredients just loose their milligram potency. Most meds(antibiotics excluded) are designed to have more than 100% potency at date of expiry. Depending on the packaging, ect, some meds can still have 100% potency up to 6 months post-expiry. I would not take chances though with life-sustaining meds where milligram dosage is of critical importance to your health.
Use your Anabol - you will probably use a tablet or so more to get the same potency pre-expiry.
Where things do get important, is with stuff like frozen-dried protein molecules. Here, for instance, stuff like Pregnyl and HGH, lose their potencies rapidly post-expiry date.
For instace, reconstituted HGH, is only useable for about 48h - that, also only when kept at 2-8 degrees in your fridge... Why do you think most guys opt to use 5 IU's per day? Because, most HGH comes in multi-dose vials of 10 IU's - thus 10 IU's after reconstitution will have to be used over 48 hours....

Is that reference to the reconstituted stuff? I know it loses its potency quickly post expiry after reconstitution, but does the rule apply for "unconstituted" pregnyl?

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll just play it save and kiss it goodbye instead of taking a gamble with my health.

@ jack,
It applies to substances as you get them, not mixed. Once mixed the shelf life differs and much shorter. Eg: Pregnyl, original expiry date on the box Dec 2008. You buy it Jan 2008. Product good till Dec 2008 if untouched and storage instructions adhered to. If you mix the water and active ingredient the shelf life is only 30 days from date of mixing, after that it degrades very rapidly.

It's fine bud, he can use it no worries. Meds do not become toxic unless stated on the package, they just become less effective from a few months after expiry date.

Hi Bud,
You looking at a 2yr period from date of manufacture to date of expiry (Lets work on that for now). If you got the equi in sept this year and you want to use it next year you are well within that time frame. The are batches being manufactured continuously so you will always get fresh stuff.
