Advice on how to get started? was created by xrapidx
Hi Guys

I've been in and out of weight training for a good couple of years now, I usually give up because it get to a stage where I go nowhere. I've tried everything when this happens, changing the program, different methods, nutrition, etc. from about mid 2005 to end 2006 my nutrition was perfect, and yet my strength (and body) stayed the same.

I had a few work commitments last year, that took me completely out of exercise, I went from 84kg to 108kg last year, a 33" waist to a 38". I'm 6'2" (1.87m).

Now this year I want to start again, but don't want to reach a platue I can't get through AGAIN.

I've spoken to one or two local people over the net, and they're on, and happy with results from Deca-Durabolin and Dianabol.

I was wondering how to get started, and if its just save to jump in and start on steriods, or would it be better to get fit first (again)? Another thing, I do a seriously streneous form of martial arts, will the above have a bad affect on my heart if doing both at the same time?

Also, I hear a lot of people do it through a doctors subscription, how is this possible? And if anyone could put me in contact with a doctor or someone in Cape Town, I realise this information can't be public, so pm it to me if you can?

Any help/tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Also, if someone is in Cape Town, and can help as a paid personal trainer, feel free to contact me your offer, obviously, I don't expect the gear from you. NOTE: this will be a start from the beginning

Its better to be in decent shape before starting a cycle cause the gear can bloat you and when bulking you naturally put on some fat, so if you start off fat this can be very demotivating!

Will this be your first cycle?

If so I would go with 500mg Test E or C per week, maybe with a 4-6 week Dbol kickoff of 30mg a day, and proper PCT. Of course make sure to eat like a horse while on...

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

Hi XrapidX

I am just starting out too again with a similar historical story. I doubt a doctor would assist you with anabolic steroids at any time... or have I missed something "BIG"?

Another question directed at Inja is how much fat does a person expect to pick up when bulking up? This is a fairly big concern... Also probally not an easy question to answer... So try give some sort of indication of what could be expected...

My concern is related stomach area and abs.. When I was fourteen I had abs you could clearly see, this without any form of exercise.. now I am 25 and unable to get abs because I believe I may have too much body fat? Including neglecting the good old stomach exercises.. Previously it took me four months to get a nice hard stomach but I am little worried that your statement about bulking and fat is going to make this even more difficult? Since I really want to achieve a great looking stomach as part of my goal.

I realize during the cycle I will have gained some extra strength and be able to effectively weight train better which provides better results... Now how about the stomach? :-) How will AS effect or help me there?

Hi Vision,
Read the thread on this site concerning dieting etc, better advice than that you cannot get and from that you will be able to work out meal plans for bulking and cutting etc. That is also what determines how much weight you gain in a bulking cycle, your diet. The thread is very informative and worth the read. To answer your last question, how will AAS help you with weight loss, test assists with weight loss, but your main burner is diet and cardio. You can only do one at a time, gain muscle or loose BF, esp as a beginner. Rather focus on what is more important and leave the other till you have reached your first goal. eg - if you are concerned with BF, rather drop that till a level you are happy with and then address the muscle gains and you might even find you are better suited for a lean muscle cycle than a bulking cycle, but trying to do both is a kind of a tug of war IMO.

Thanks for the response.

My main issue is how to get started, cause I have no clue where to go or what to do... and when it comes to needles, I wouldn't know where to put it?

Any further tips will be appreciated...as you can see, I've never done this before, but am so tired of going in circles.

Hi XrapidX :-)

In that case try do some more research like I did. I know most the answers to the questions already its just best to query things over and over and get different opinions before you end up making a bad mistake. Personally I am still learning and will be for the next few years.

Where abouts you from in South Africa? Not Pretoria by any chance?

Well you already have started, you are gathering info and once that is done you can make informed decisions based on your newly aquired knowledge. As for the injection help, I started a string on this site around that giving some websites for guys who are uncertain on how and where to inject and there are some other sites in that string with awesome pics and you really can't go wrong, all you have to do is get over the nerves of your first shot and you should be fine. drop me a mail and I'll see if I can put you in contact with someone in your area EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED

Ah ok was curious, thought maybe we could try out our cycles together and compare notes...

Wouldn't mind a gym partner that is as eager and motivated as myself.

Yeah, I think thats what I need too... Not easy doing this sorta thing alone, worst is, none of my friends in Cape Town are into gym, and have no interest in gettig started, which makes training difficult.

I have the motivation, I think I didn't skip a days training for over 18 months a while back...

Yeah keep it up. Like everything else in life nothing comes easy and without blood work. Just be careful and try find someone like minded that side that has some experience. Who ever advices you make sure your not buying the stuff from him. :-) Just avoid a sales pitch..

Would be great if we had some sort of like minded peoples group that could meet up and motivate each other...

Good luck though.
