Hey Everyone,I hope I'm posting this in the right place for the best advice.I've been on TRT  for 18 months, currently taking 180mg of Test Cyp per week, split into two injections on Tuesdays and Fridays.I’ve been diligent with bloodwork every 3-4 months, and everything has been in check so far. My most recent tests were done less than two weeks ago. Now, my partner and I are planning to start a family, which brings me here.
  1. Should I stop TRT to improve fertility, or is there a way to conceive while staying on my current protocol?
  2. If HCG is introduced to support fertility, can it be run alongside TRT? If so, what dosage is recommended? (I’ve never taken HCG before.)
  3. Would it be best to get a semen analysis first before making any adjustments, or am I overthinking it?
  4. Looking for insights from others who have successfully conceived while on TRT or other gear—is it possible, or a long shot?
I appreciate any advice or personal experiences from those who have been through this. Thanks in advance!

1. Yes, you should start planning to get off TRT so you can get her pregnant.
2. HCG on it's own is not sufficient, and starting it now 18 months into TRT is not going to to get your sperm count to a normal level. You want to get on a combo of a SERM, HCG, possibly Gonal-F or whatever its called these days.
3. Yes. But just so you have a reference point to start with. It will be close to 0 thought after 18 months.
4. Go see a specialist. The chance of conceiving after 18 months on TRT is close to 1 in 100. I got my wife pregnant in 2015 on a Test+Tren cycle but I was also using HCG and had taken time off after the previous cycle.

00Pump knows a lot more about this from first hand experience coming off and eventually managing to make a little minion. Hopefully he chimes in.

So my vote goes to getting a sperm count done whilst on trt and see how those levels are.

That way you have measurable data.

If it 0 then I would wait a bit of time, so 40 days( 5x half life of the drug you are using for trt) and then go with the enclomaphrine( or clomid) and hcg/ovitrelle route.

My client who is now a wff pro came off all gear years ago, after doing powerlifting cycles, and had a sperm count done. It was 0. Not 1 swimmer. Did clomid and ovitrelle, with in 30 days his wife was pregnant.

Also consider using injectable carnatine daily too as it helps with sperm motility too.

This doesn't make complete sense as full sperm regeneration takes +/-60 days.

I was on trt for 3.5 years and had kids. It was trial and error.

My protocol was lowering my TRT to 70mg a week. Taking Clomid every day, and HCG EOD at 750iu. Following that strict protocol took 4 months.

Honestly felt like shit but it worked.

We ended up having twins. Not normal twins, but identical, meaning Clomid didn't cause it.

Yes and it takes 5x the half life of the drug to leave the system for normal hormone production to START again. so i am unsure of where it doesnt make sense? the suggestion was to come off and wait 5x the half life before starting clomid and hcg therapy.

I agree with your sentiment.

I don't agree with the following: "My client who is now a wff pro came off all gear years ago, after doing powerlifting cycles, and had a sperm count done. It was 0. Not 1 swimmer. Did clomid and ovitrelle, with in 30 days his wife was pregnant."

30 days is not enough. 90 days minimum to see the effect of the drug on sperm health/count/movement.

*Not 90. 60 to 74 days for the full sperm regeneration process.

Therefore it would be something like t x half life +/-40days, plus a further 60+ days.

I guess something I didn't consider is that just coming off PEDs, could help you produce better quality sperm too, so not necessarily the 100 days mentioned above.

well, i am telling you his sperm count went from 0 to having his wife pregnant within 30 days of starting the treatment, this is not about agreement or not, it is about what happened. And he had a 2nd little one doing the same thing 2 years after the first. So if it was miracle, or maybe a blessing from above, 30 days is all it took for him.
