Liver Protection

I am starting a new cycle with a oral throw in and woul djust like to know what the best would be to use to protect my liver. I have done some research on the net and all the \"good stuff\" is not available in SA. I usually use Milk Thistle and some other liver protection like cruciale etc.
Would just like some opinions on what you guys use and what you see as better products.

There is a product called FLUSH and I have seen they have recently changed the name to Liver-Tech made by GTech Pharmaceuticals. This product is specifically designed for heavy drinkers and steroid users and its the most potent combination around. Its a detox that covers the Liver, Kidneys and Blood. Milk Thistle Extract 80%(Silybum Marianum) or a more concentrated form known as Silybinin found in a Pharmaceutical called product Legalon are normally only used after a cycle as they are known to break down most medicines and this influencing their effects including anabolics. Facts:

AAS does stress the liver! It initially stresses the liver enzymes/hepatocytes, but not the liver structure - this only happens at a later stage.
Hepatocytes gets rehabilitated by the use of phospholipids, NOT by sylimarin(Milk Thistle)!

So, the best combination to use is ANY of the phosphlipid containing drugs(Essentiale) AND Milk Thistle. You do not need to take Legalon - its hell of expensive. Any sylimarin tincture or capsules produced by reputeable Homeopathic Houses(Heel, Reckeweg, Natura, ect) will do just fine.

But, dont forget the basics!
4-5 Liters of water per day, 400-1000mg Vit E, 2 - 3 gr Vit C, and any other MVT containing Vit A, D and K.
Stay away from alcohol!

I am currently taking Eco-Green Multi from now foods, one, twice a day and vit-c that contains 2000mg vit-c, also twice a day. Pls see below for ingredients of the Multi-Vit, I would just like to make sure that nothing included will \"hamper\" the effect of the AAS. I also will be taking Milk Thistle and Essentiale when I start my cycle.

It looks fine to me, just remember your body will only absorb the amount of vitamins it needs - the rest will go down the \"pipe\"! So, if your urine is yellowish and you can smell the vitamins in your urine odour, then you probably are taking just more than enough.

Remember that Hypervitaminotoses is extremely rare - mostly in cases of decreased kidney function.
Be careful of taking too much Vit A - it could be liver toxic in too high doses.

Just a suggestion - if you are lifting heavy weights regularly, also supplement with extra Calcium, as in 1-2gr per day. Extra Magnesium will also help.

Hi Mike123, Doctari hasn't been on the site for a long while.
There has been talk that milk thistle interferes with protein synthesis so if you gonna use it, take it at the end of your cycle during PCT.

There has been a debate about this. Conclusion was that it will probably only interfere a small bit with your gains. Its however more worth it looking after you liver and ensure you will do many cycles more. You only have 1 liver and it is kind off vital so take care of it. Other products that also help is legalon and SAMe. There is another product called Cool blue which is great as well. You can get that from good health shops. Its quit potent! SAMe is a great prodct to use during pct as it helps with liver regeneration.

During cycle i normally take Cool blue in the mornings and Legalon at night. I do this during cycle and pct and for 1 month after pct i use milkthistle. Bloodtests always comes back perfecto!

The Doctari reply at the top of the page refers to a different reason for using legalon and that essential is the same only cheaper and use with the milk thistle?
