Keep pinning... Next time in all honesty, don't waste your time at the doc when you have the flue.. Anti-biotics are only needed if you have an infection. The flue works itself out your body. Anti-biotics are the devil, and every doctor just signs scripts like a flyer for U2 concert. A few cups of green tea and maybe some corenza c is more than enough.. If it hits your chest bad, then look at an Anti-Biotic, if you a smoker and it hits your chest, then its your own fault.

Yes, you don't want to mess up the stable hormone balance you have finally found with that long ester Cyp. Also when I get the flue I feel my body just eats muscle. So you want to stay anabolic during this period. Another thing to get over the flue, make sure you eat! Guys who don't eat when they sick stay ill for longer. Keep your same diet, and when you get back to gym next week you going to destroy the gym.

Do antibiotics interfere with your cycle? I thought they can only affect protein synthesis in bacteria and not in mammals?
Shit, I was prescribed antbiotics today (amoxycillin)for an eye infection, along with Pulmison (a steroid tablet to reduce inflammation), which I believe can cause water retention :( . I was just about to start taking them when I read this post.

No way I'm going to take this stuff if it's going to screw up my cycle. (Test prop, T3 and Winny)

Pump, please advise bud.

You where perscibed a cortic steroid. And yes take if you need it, just remember they are catabolic steroids not anabolic. Sometimes antibiotics are needed i took them a few weeks ago because my toe was the size of a criciet ball due to an ingrown nail. All scheduled drugs are dangerous, just make sure you take probiotics when ever you take antibiotics, and only take them if its truly necesary

Your doctor is only trying to help you, so finish the antibiotic course, its only a few days, and think nothing of it... just remember to inform your doctor if you have any allergies so they can perscribe an antibiotic your body isnt going to reject.

Thanks Pump. The cortic steroid is that the Pulmison? The ingredient is prednisone 20mg @ 1pd for 7days. Will that do any major damage to my cycle you think?
The amoxycillin is of course 28 tabs and finish the course! I am not even sure I should take them, as I just about never take antibiotics, but I might have to in this case.

Prednisone is a cortic steroid. Do what your doctor suggests if you have an infection in your eye you going to need to nuke that with antibiotics and an anti inflam

That is also a very effective anti biotic, more effective than penicillin on certain bacteria without the skin irritation too

I was prone to eye, throat, lung infections, got them every 4-6 weeks. when I did my last blood test I tested for allergies with all the other tests... and found out I am hyper allergic to grass seeds, i have been taking Xyzal (Ievocetirizine dihydrochloride ) 5mg every day and haven't gotten an infection in the last 2 months.

helped me allot as i had to take antibiotics to fight the infections every time.

No it's not dangerous, all anti-biotics do is kill bacteria, good and bad. So make sure you supplement with Probiotics to prevent thrush symptoms, as well remember a course of anti-biotics is normally around 3 -> 7 days, so don't sweat it.

However, they are the last thing I will take for the flue. There is no truth that antibiotics speed up recovery while on a flue, your body deals with the virus itself, it's only when you get a chest infection ( bronchitis ), etc is it necessary, other than that, be a man, take some med lemon and stop crying like a baby

interflora is used to treat thrush yes.. however you can get probiotics in by eating yogurt.

No don't worry about your heart, I think they getting mixed up with why you shouldn't gym with a heavy chest flue, due to the strain on the heart.

Well a urinary tract infection can sometimes be aggravated when pushing heavy weights. So just keep an eye on that..

Bronchitis / chest flue, etc don't gym its a massive strain on the heart muscle. It's also ok to gym with a bit of snotty nose, it's just a matter of can you focus as hard with your head clouded up.

However, regardless of what you have, make sure your diet stays on track.
