First Cycle Advise

This is my first post.

So firstly Hi to all on the forum.

Stats :
Age 37 Yrs young (Training on and of since late teens)
6'1
97 kg
17 Body Fat (Coming down due to plenty of cardio, previously sat about 10%).

My goals are to shed some Fat and gain some hard muscle.

I was originally looking into an oral only cycle (Winny/Anavar)as I sometimes have to go overseas on short notice.
But after reading the various posting I'm getting the idea this is not the best way to go.

How about the following:

Test Prop @ 400 mgs a week - Week 1 to 12
Anavar @ 40 mgs a day - Week 1 to 6
Arimidex @ .25 mgs a day - Week 1 to 12
Clomid @ 100 mgs a day - Week 13 to 16
Nolvadex @ 20 mgs a day - Week 13 to 16
Clomid @ 50 mgs a day - Week 17 to 18


Not planning on starting a cycle until such time the Body Fat has come down some.

Any Input would be greatly appreciated.

Test Prop EOD for 12 weeks. That's a lot of injections and a real pain in the arse!
Maybe Test En instead, you could switch to Prop at week 8 if you want.

Clomid & Nolva combined? May be overkill?

Only use Arimidex when needed, it will hamper gains if used through your complete cycle

The prop will be hell like oupiel said.

Also a longer ester means fewer injections which may be easier when you travel.
GO with testen or test C for 12 weeks @500mg per week.

Will 200 mgs every 4 days be OK?

Drop the Arimdex and have it on standby. If I should run into problems how long should I run the Arimdex or just long enough until the symptoms subside ?

If Clomid and Nolva are a bit of overkill, which one should I use?

Is the Anavar in the correct sequence for this cycle?

Sounds like ur doing the homework on this one,very good.
Id say use either clomid or nolvadex together with some pregnyl that would most probably be the best,and test enantate is a long acting one so once a week is also fine,further more arimidex is very exspensive so why not leave it untill you really know you gona need it.

Nolvadex will do for a test only cycle, it can also be used if gyno becomes and issue and 400mg p/week is good, even 500mg p/week. This is a nice cycle to gauge how you respond to test.

Agreed, a great first cycle.
Anavar kick start to 400mg Testen.
(injected twice a week)
Good SERM choice for PCT

Buy the Adex if you have the money, so you have it on hand if you need it.

Also, at almost forty I might consider adding HCG to my PCT protocol.
The older you get the harder the shut down and the worse the recovery.

Looks like the following then.

Test En @ 400 mgs a week - Weeks 1 to 12

Ovidrel or Pregnyl at the start of the last week of cycle @ 3000iu and then every 5 days as follows 3000iu, 1500iu, 1500iu.

Not sure yet if I should go with the 1 injection or 2 per week.
If there is not too much of a difference then 1 would work for me (Sometimes overseas on a trip.).

Will have on hand extra Nolva if I should run into problems during the cycle.

Pin 2x a week as this is better for blood levels.
If you go overseas for a quick trip then you just double the dose of the pin before you leave to last the week.
Eg: If you pin 1mg every 4 days but you will miss one due to your trip then just pin 2mg and resume pinning 1mg in eight days time.

Going with 2 shots a week (Sun & Wed) will adjust if away.

Thinking of changing to Test prop at week 8 as suggested.

I like the idea of reducing the waiting time before starting PCT, am I correct that it would then be 3 to 4 days after last shot?
as oppose to 3 to 4 weeks after Test En.

Does the above sound OK?
