Risky eating chicken??? was created by viking87
Hey guys.

I eat about +-10kgs of chicken (breasts) in more or less a month. I'm sure you guys eat a lot of chicken as well.

Lately I've thinking about the effect it might have on us. In the sense of what the chickens are feed like anti biotics to keep them "healthy", supposedly hormones and the extremely stressful enviroments they in. I suppose no food can be regarded as safe anymore due to mass production.

Do you think it will effect us in the long run?

Depends on what chicken you buy, I would be more worried about chicken that received no antibiotics since chicken can carry some very nasty diseases.

I feel eating Free Range Chickens is far superior to normal Rainbow Farm chickens or any other mass produced chickens. But the cost of free range chickens is very high  - I believe Woolworths has free range chickens, but ya... anything from Woolworths are quite pricey.
Therefore, if you can afford it, go for Free Range Chickens or else you'll have to go Tuna - but then again, Tuna is just as damn expensive...
So i'll stick to eating Rainbow Farm chickens.;)

Peace out...
$ilver.

I was eating 1kg of chicken breasts a day and haven't grown any extra limbs... yet! :)
I've been doing it for the past two years and feel ok. Only thing I can see is the muscles it has given me... so all is positive from my site.

Well they did a thing on Carte Blanche awhile back about the Woolworths chicken that were "free range". Yes they went outside and stuff but they could barely walk and just fell down and sat there and then Woolworths markets that as "free range".

Well chicken is the cheapest soure of protein from whole foods and I'm not the biggest fan of tuna so yeah.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not going to stop eating chicken. Its done wonders for me as well its just what if in 10years you develop cancer cause of what you eat, thats what I'm thinking about lol. I feel great to, but its no secret that the food we eat today(cause of mass production) is a lot more dangerous than say 30-50yrs ago.

if you gonna worry about chicken, worry about everythin bought you eat, whatever is not grown in your own garden is mass produced and chemicals used to keep it for longer, bottom line, everything is not what it was years ago and will continue to decline...

Yeah, that is actually normal... they aren't really suppose to walk as that will burn energy and that is bad for making them grow. Time = Money

It's not only chicken you have to worry about though. I have a Estrogen based growth implant sitting next to my mouse pad atm that is used to make cattle grow faster.

See this pic if you don't believe me:
(File Removed)

I don't use it on our cattle though, but I was asked by a farmer in the area to make him a generic in injectable form. This stuff was banned long ago, but is still used. The hormone can be transferred to the meat and we all know what happens when you get too much estrogen in your system.
Woman = Infertile and Men = Gyno ect.

The implant contains 21.1mg estradiol and works in a similar way as Triphasil in woman.

I suppose eating a chicken that had some anti-biotics may not be ideal but its still a long way from eating MacDonalds - which most of the population is eating. So I'll take my chances with chicken!!

I normally get my chicken from checkers.

The only way i eat my chicken is baking it, put it in the oven for an hour at190. Add some lemon juice, a touch of sticky chicken sauce. Half way through add boiled potatoes in and in 30min more its done. Im a lazy cooker, so food that requires the least bit of time is much easier to do.
