Hi guys
Been a while since I have last posted on the forum. Been off the training scene for a few months due to family and work commitments, but since 1 May I have been back in the saddle and back on my Keto diet which saw me drop from 93kg to 82kg in 10 weeks, with my bf dropping from 16.2 to 12.5 over the same period. Anyhoo, after shopping around to replenish my stockpiles of flax seed, fish oil and psyllum husks, I noticed that my local health shop stocked something called low-carb bread.
Apparently, each slice has 2g of "impact" carbs, 4g of protein and around 1.5 grams of fat. However, noting the ingredients, which consisted of Whole ground almonds and linseed combination, whey protein isolate, soya protein isolate, xanthan gum, I remained sceptical as to what the total carb content would be per slice and whether this would indeed be a keto-friendly product. It seems that the makers of the bread claim that that the "non-impact" carbs, the amounts of which are not disclosed on the packaging, is indigestible fibre. They also have a selection of other low-carb foods including tortillas, pita bread, sauces etc....
Any input whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
