Meat and Chicken Specials around SA was created by ninjajuice

Hey guys,

I had a quick search and couldn't really find a thread dedicated to this. Since eating "clean" and healthy seems to be quite a costly affair I thought it would be a good idea to open up a thread dedicated to helping each other get the best deals of meat and chicken.

The idea here is, no matter where you are in SA, if you pick up a good deal that you feel others in your city (from this forum) would benefit from, Post it here using the following format:

etc

My current diet consists of massive amounts of chicken breasts, rump and pork fillet so I'm always looking for a good deal on this stuff. But feel free to put any other good food deals on here as well.

Lets help each other eat well, for cheaper

I'll get the ball rolling as I picked up a deal today which was far cheaper than what I am used to paying in DBN

Item 1 with price p/kg: Bulk Rump & Sirloin - R59.99/kg
Item 2 with price p/kg: Pork Fillet - R55.99/kg
Item 3 with price p/kg: Chicken Breasts - R44.99/kg

I have not paid that for Rump or sirloin in recent memory and the meat really looks to be of good quality. bought 6kg. Normally pay around R90 - 99/kg

Pork fillet isn't the cheapest I've paid, but still a good deal as it's not always easy to find.

Chicken breasts are averagely priced but I have battled to get any under R50 for a while now.

One really just has to wait for the weekly specials and stock up. Good examples of these specials are:
Fillet Steak @R95/kg
Topside Mince @R39/kg
Chicken Flatties @R19/kg
Rump Steak @R59/kg
Chicken Breasts @R39/kg
You get the picture. It must be said that the meat quality is absolutely top notch and trimmed of fat. Don't know how these guys do it.

This is not their original price on the rump but made a deal with the antie. I'm buying about 12kg breasts and 6 kg rump a month

So today at Super Servings they had a special on chicken breasts- R32.99/kg. It's only gonna be until stocks last so hurry cause I bought about half of what was left today. :whistle: Got chicken until Christmas.
