Potentional competitor was created by RvP
Hi Guys,

Im really thinking about competing next year and im well aware of all the foking hard work that goes into it, of course i wont do it alone but with a trainer/professional.

My question is, What are the different catagories and what do the judges base you on. Im fluxiouating around 78-79kg with around 6% BF. waist is a slim 32-34.

and then theres there fasting month coming up in 2 months so im bound 2 shed a few pounds that and a few months after that is our pilgrimage for another 4 weeks. That should give me till about the beginning of November to start full force again.

Would the pro's here be able to give me a estimate as to what catagory I would fall into or is it just based on weight or hight. I dont wanna be a full on beast but a more rather fitness model figure (if that makes sense)

I'm also looking to compete so this would give me an idea of what I should look at aswell.

The different fedirations have different classes, not sure about them all. I'm looking at sub 75kg class or sup 80kg class at next year early'ish' haven't decided which comp or what date.

I'm at 85kg right now 9%bf 1.78m I'm pushing to be 90kg at 7% bf before the end of the year. If all goes well as planned ill hopefully start my contesrt prep at about feb next year.

You are going to have to see where you are at about 16 weeks out from the comp you want to do. Most of the novice comps are around March/April and these would probably be your best bet for a good start. When you have decided which federation's comp you want to do, then mark more or less 16 weeks prior and when you get to that stage then you can see more or less what weight catergory you will be in. So for the mean time I would say, try to put as much size on until then. Its not only a lot of hard work but a hell of a lot of money, so just be prepared and save as much money as you can until then too.

That is what makes a bodybuilder a true bodybuilder, and that is to be simply.....

I been reading Koe's post on contest prep and it is indeed a lot of work and money. Guess you just cant get that top spot if you just sit back and just inject yourself and do a few sessions in the gym. As for the money factor, lol thats another killer! Oh well, everything comes with a price. At the moment im dedicated, focused and never been more motivated in my life. Now im more focused on packing on as much lean muscle as possible coz I know im going to be out for 2 months. After that the dieting and training will have to be at double what im doing now....Hopefully im ready for it!

Thanx bud and good luck to you too, its does take a lot on training, dedication, money and will power. I'm going to give it a bash and see how I like it. Even not competing and doing things right is very expensive, cycle, diet and other supps. Atleast you don't have to put down the cash all at once as you will be doing at least 3 months prep. Just all the posing classes, tanning, accomodarion ect all come to a bit of cash.

Speaking of tanning, do darker skinned people still have to use a tan or do they just use some sort of oil to gloss up the body? According to Koe, you use spray and cook, but thats on contest day in addition to the tan

The tan is usually very dark so unless you are african or indian. Ill say that you need that tan, definition just doesn't show that well on light skin.

So i've been researching the different poses and stuff and decided to give a few back poses a try. Any tips, pointers and criticism will be highly appreciated...as well as what muscles need to be worked on more.

Thanks
