Its not bad..If not done properly you can lose muscle though and plateaus in it are annoying as hell. I've done it as well as warrior diet and I will still take a well planned calorie deficit normal diet over all of them..

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Its legs day, legs day, gotta get down on legs day.

I personally like it as I don't have much on an appetite in the mornings so I prefer to break fast much later than most. It also helps me not to overdo my calories for the day. IF isn't a diet though its just an eating schedule that you can use for any diet. I have been cutting with the IF and a low carb diet and so far I love it. I'm down 13kgs and my energy in the gym is great and I train completely fasted. At the end of the day it still comes down to calories in and out but there are some nice benefits to the fasting. You can read up on all of that on the leangains site. Its not for everyone...

I might give it a try just to see how it goes.Off cycle i get sick of eating constantly so ill try it for a few weeks and see how it goes. Obviously it has no place on cycle cause it would be counter productive.

Yea then you might enjoy IF. There is an article somewhere there about IF for stubborn body fat especially around the lower abs and back. I don't think IF would be counter productive on a cycle so long as you are getting enough calories. I've seen a lot of guys over at some other forums who are on cycle and bulking with the IF approach and these aren't lighties either. I'm cutting on 1800 calories at the moment. If I had in a few whey and peanut butter shakes in between and throw in carbs with each meal I can easily get in another 1800. If are a beast like Koe then yea IF probably won't work out for you haha.

Give it a try but don't shy away from it if the first few days are difficult. You'll get used to fasting and you'll love the big meals.

What would be the point of doing it on cycle ? Trying to lose body fat while bulking with muscle ?

Yea and maybe you perform better in the gym in the morning. I'm stronger in the morning on an empty stomach than in the evening with 85% of the days calories already consumed. I've tried getting in a shake or food before gym in the mornings and my performance sucked. For me I'll probably stick with the IF approach until it is no longer convenient.

EDIT: Today was my last day on test but I've been doing IF on cycle now for 5 or 6 weeks and I've held onto strength and size just fine on pretty low calories. I don't see why I wouldn't be able to make gains if I could manage to get into a calorie surplus.

I personally love IF and the various ways of doing it (warrior, 24, 16/8, CBL).
I'm about to go into my 21st week of IF and im stronger and leaner than ever. Still eating about 3500-4000 calories per day.

3500 calories :woohoo: CAN'T WAIT!!! I can see the meals in front of me now. Soon it will be my turn to CBL with donuts B) I have the occasional cheat day and its always a happy day for me :)
I wish that I bothered to read up on IF when I first heard about it. I honestly thought that I would perish training fasted. So so incredibly wrong...
Good to hear its working so well for you.

My maintenance depending on training is about 3500-4000 a day. Those calories are easy for me to consume, so generally not surplus. But still losing fat.
However yes you can. Its about using the right nutrients at the right hormonal times to promote maximum results. A common occurrence on IF (especially CBL) is losing fat whilst eating above maintenance.

Once - not a fan.

You can get the same hunger issues like when you first start IF 16/8. They come for a bit around the time you would normally eat, then again probably 3 hours later and then for me again at the time when I was about to eat.

I know quite a few who do 24 and 36 hour fasts. Some do 24hr x2 per week.

I think maybe once a month if you wanted to do something like that for pure digestive healthy reasons it's not a bad thing but I'm not a fan of doing it every week.
