Carb loading crash was created by Byron182
Hi guys, atm im on a keto with carb loading ones a week.

The thing is my body totaly crash when eating 200g of clean carbs (oats) in one go, and end up sleeping for 3-4 hours after the loading and very grumpy and moody when waking up. Is this normal or are there beter ways in doing the carb loading.

I think my body hates carbs...

Im all ready using chromium. Maybe ill take more when doing the carb load, ill give alpha lipolic acid a go as well thanks for the heads up.

Will ur body take a dip when on a normal diet and eating carbs for pre workout or is it about how many carbs you eat in one go?

I know my buddie took a dip in energy when he stuffed him self with slap chips this one time befor gym.

On the issue of carbs... since I started to eat properly I have been having some energy issues in gym... if you consume too many carbs before gym could you end up having energy issues or getting light headed during lifting? I.e if I eat a meal of chicken and brown rice 30 - 60mins before gym?

Yes definitely. A) You are probably experiencing a milder version of what Byron describes above. Insulin may have crashed by the time you get to gym rather than you waiting for it to normalize again. B ) It takes energy for your body to work its way through all that food that is sitting in your stomach. You'll have a less than great workout because you are basically doing two things at once.

Man, I saved saved a good article on this but I can't find it through all the other crap I've saved

I personally would time your workout to be closer to 90 minutes after a meal. If you still feel that you are a bit lethargic than maybe grab an intra or pre-workout drink to keep you going.

Thanks man... was starting to get a bit worried that it could be something else... I've been on a low cal eating plan for about two weeks now and only noticed it since I started that... but I was eating a meal of chicken and brown rice before gym in the morning... but if I hit gym in the evening I perform much better... even more so if I go on the weekend when I relax my eating a bit...
