Rolled oats contain all three parts of the grain, the endosperm, the bran and the germ. The process strips nothing away, maintaining all of the nutrition of the whole grain. When you purchase rolled oats, the label often says, "Old-fashioned oats."
Manufacturers also roll instant oats, but cut them into smaller pieces for faster cooking. Most instant oatmeal contains added sugar and ingredients to improve flavor, texture or stability.

I also wonder about the oats. I normally buy the jungle oats box which says "instant" oats. Its not those flavoured little packets. Those contain a crap load of sugar. You just add boiling water to the one i buy and i don't see any added sugar. Is it ok to use that one?

it is to do with the release of the gi of the oats. whole grain outs will relase enery over a long period and the instant oats will relase it over a shorter period. so if you use instant oats you will get hungry sooner.

If working on body and character doesnt cost you something its woth noting. If criticism is all that proceed out of your mouth then know that is how you feel about yourself and depicts the health of your soul.

Normal jungle oats are pretty 'instant' anyway...
Boiling water to cover. Nuke for 2 minutes. Add milk + banana (or whatever) and eat.
No need for the 'instant' variety.
Happy eating!
