I understand why you shouldn't eat fats with High GI carbs, but why is it a bad idea to eat fats with low GI carbs?

Im not 100% sure but i think some one told me, you use your carbs first for energy and the fats will be stored when you dont burn it. 15ml fat is as good as 150g of potato fats are so easy to over do then clean carbs.

Nah, dont think it matters pyro. Only dont do carbs 1 hour pre-wo until 1 hour post-wo - Doctari says this.

Its gonna take like 4 hours for a meal of rice and meat to leave the stomach so your insulin wont really be spiked and fats wont be used.

I do like 30g almonds with meals as well as cook my food in olive oil.

The guy im helping who's a kind of a fatty is also doing this and it doesnt matter.

Just my opinion :)

I think its a calorie thing, if you are eating carbs and fat you are most probably taking in alot of energy, the excess enegry is obviously stored as fat! So eating one energy source at a time makes it easier to control the amount of calories! Another aspect is, as you know and as gorilla pointed out is to resrict carbs to pre and post workout anyway! So no point in mixing fats and carbs pre or post workout as carbs, be it low or high gi still gets processed faster than healthy fats.

Technically your body should cope just fine taking in fats and carbs with good ratios in the same meals. The crux of the matter is that you want to give your body enough nutrition too grow, but not too much so to get fat. On cycle those lines get very blurred though.

Maybe someone has a more scientific explanation.

Carbs spike insulin, insulin put body in energy storage mode and all that fat is shuttled to the hips, bum and thighs... Its that simple. Small amounts om " unavoidable fats" wont matter. Just dont add extra. Remember the body can store about anything but protein. So just have the majority of your goods fats that you need with protein and not carbs.
