hey guys...hope all is good.

dont know if im asking this correctly...

just a question regarding replacing certain types of meals, im still keeping the same amount of grams, so will the protein be the same? Wanna change the protein and carb souces

170g chicken - replace with 170g steak or mince

1.5tins of tuna - replace with 150g white fish

200g potato - replace with half cup of white rice or couscous ( or any other suggestions)

30g raisins - 1 banana ( this is pre meal)

just wanna change my diet a bit, to something a lil diff

basically im asking is like 150g chicken the same amount of protein as 150g steak or white fish.

(hope the diet master replies on this, would be great) ;) :cheer:

Most definitely not the same. Look up the values for each, for example when comparing 150g chicken and 150g steak, the calorie content of the steak is much higher (~225 vs ~400) with the fat content of the steak being MUCH higher than chicken (~5 vs ~43).

Total calories and fat content, and even protein will be lower for fish than the chicken and steak.

check out calorie king, there you can see how much macro's each product you want to consumes has got, as well as calories and adjust accordingly. Or any other calorie counter for that matter. Just remember to substitute lean meat/poultry or fish for lean cuts of the other to keep your fat contents in check. Hope this helps.

Also try quinoa for a great carb source.

Def not the same.
Try fitday to keep track of all your nutrients.
No reason not mix up your diet, it's the best way to stick to it. :)
Just be armed with the right information first
