Breakfast, first meal of the day? was created by Gains
Morning Gents,

This is what my first meal of the day looks like.

1 cup cooked oats and serving of whey @35 grams mixed in with the oats.

I see alot of guys have 2 whole eggs and 4 egg whites and oats, so was thinking of dropping the whey and going the eggs route for my protien intake.

so how do you guys prepare your eggs?
Time is always an issue in the morning, so what is the best way to get those eggs down?

Ommlet, boiled or another other way? :S

You can mix the eggs in your oats and cook it together.

Whole foods are best so definitely rather have eggs. You could always add the whey in somewhere else in your day. I go for omelettes.

@ Thunderbeast
Never thought of cooking oats and eggs together, I usually cook my oats in the microwave with with water and then add fat free milk after to make it creamy.

So I guess you will just add the eggs in with the oats and water then nuke it. Will try it.

@ MA
I also prefere ommletts but will save them for Saturdays and Sundays when there is a bit more time for preparing them.

Thanks gents

I put 4whole eggs and4 egg whites in a bowl and make scrambled eggs in the wicrowave stirring every 30 seconds. Tastes great, I couldn't stomach boiled eggs anymore.

Go big or go home...

Crack eggs the night before into a container and put in the fridge. Cooking them the next morning takes a few minutes.

Well.... I tried the oats and eggs mixture, not for me

Ian79 that sounds better, do you eat the scrambled egg straight up or do have it on toast?

Try measuring out the oats the night before in a pot, add 3x the volume of boiled water, cover it. The next morning it'll be pretty much cooked (soaked) and ready to eat, you can turn on the stove quick to heat it up and get it creamy. :)

I found the best is to swop between boiled and scrambled.
Scrambled eggs with green pepper, red pepper , tomato and some cayenne pepper can also throw in some low fat feta.
Boiled I normally make a dipping sauce depending on what the goals are for gym, I find a tangy Mayo the best and very easy to swallow when your getting sick of eggs.

I take my eggs and oats, blend it and bake 'pancakes' the night before. I then heat it in the mic and add cinnamon and sweetner to taste. If I want to make savory pancakes, I add a spoon of marmite, yum!

Also, I'm lactose intolerant, so when I do have time, I cook my oats and find that adding a tablespoon of either peanut butter, almond butter or coconut oil makes it creamy and really tastes yummy!

Bread has very little place in a proper clean diet as is, possibly some home made bread but as a general rule refined carbs should be left alone. Provitas, maybe as a snack but even then rice cakes are probably better.
