Hey hey ou's and ouettes :P

I've been on the wrong side of heavy for a while... Just before I got married I worked out my macros using the harris-benedict equation... Worked out how much chicken and brown rice that was and ate that for 6 meals a day for about two months... lost 8kg...

Now... that's NOT the most effective or nicest way to lose weight...

I got married, and unfortunately my wife likes baking and pretty much doesn't pick up weight... so... over the 1.5 years I've been married I basically picked that weight up again...some of it muscle as I've kept up gyming.

Then I got fed up again... started in Jan with a weight of 103kg.

This morning I weighed in at 95.8kg

So the weightloss hasn't been crazy fast... I ate too much over easter and stuff... The biggest change has been eating my carbs at lunch time. Still eat pretty regular food... more veggies and such... I have also increased my cardio at gym.

slow and steady wins the race eh?

I wish I have patience like you, but yes, it is a lifestyle change, and if you want to keep the weight off, it must become a lifestyle. Quick fixes gets you there, but afterwards you struggle and yo-yo and pick up all the weight again because you cannot sustain that lifestyle.

Whatch what you eat, give yourself 1 cheat meal a week, keep training hard and do some cardio, and you will be well on your way to your goal weight.

@ warrenpridgeonb - Its never really good if you lose weight to fast..so yea you are on the right track:) i always try drop 700g-1kg a week..nice n steady. :) if you want to speed things up a lil you can try cheat meals as mentioned above or what really worked well for me is carb/calorie cycling!! its great for firing up your metabolism and dropping fat.!!

Keto is also great, and you see results fast, but I crave carbs really bad while on it, its all in the mind, I know, but when I make sarmies for my hubby and smell the fresh bread...

Anyway, I also felt when I did the Keto that I lost a lot of muscle mass, even while on stanazol, anavar, etc.

Hahaha... Ja nee kyk... I like eating... My wife likes cooking and baking... so self control is tough...
I've found I am also an emotional eater hey... I work from home as a professional geek (software dev) so if I am battling with something I get up and go the kitchen and grab a rusk or something...

So I've been working on the self control and it's helping. But damn... seconds are lekker... and roomys and chips and all that nonsense.

At the moment I am not using any chemical help... Just multi vit and omega 3/6 caps.

I wish my wife liked baking/cooking. There are lots of healthy recipes you can find on google for home made protein bars, oatmeal protein cookies etc instead of flour packed cakes. I've always wanted to try a few but I'm usless at that kind of thing.

Aggenee man! What's wrong with your hands? I'm a girl, I can not really cook, but it's so easy to make those things, I'm sure a 3 year old can do it. I make it for my hubby all the time!

I have a 2 year old and 3 year old every day in my kitchen. 20 mins later, the mess that hurricane Katrina would make looks like sunday school picnic compared to what I must clean up...

Congrats on starting. But just remember, you cannot stop..

i love baking, but only accasionally. Dont let that be ur excuse. Remember that onces your at the wrong scale, there is just so many health risks. I suggest to try, slowly to change your lifestyle. That is the best bid to loose weight..coz you probably want kids one day.

Lifting/exercising is really good... and it helps you in ALL areas of ur life.. so think bout that also.
