2g Carb hamburger bun was created by NeedMoreT
Does anyone know where I can find flax meal?

Fiancé found this recipe for making a bun that has 2g Net carbs and 12g protein.

Here is the recipe:

2g CARB HAMBURGER BUN
2 tablespoons butter
Pinch salt
1/4 cup flax meal
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

In a small microwaveable bowl or Grab-it dish, microwave the butter to melt it. Stir in the salt and flax meal. Beat in the egg with a fork until well-blended. Beat in the baking powder. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Microwave on HIGH 1 minute, or until puffed and set in the center. Let stand 1 minute; remove from the bowl and let cool on a rack. Slice and use as a hamburger bun.

Makes 1 serving
Can be frozen

To be honest this is the biggest waste of time. A normal 60g roll has about 4g of fat, 32g of carbs and about 4g of protein meaning that the calories are way way way lower than this fat laden mass that probably tastes horrid. 400 calories for this instead of other nutrient packed foods? Not for me thanks.
