True, I just glanced at it, my mistake...

Ill grab some of that rather.

Just had my lunch now and it was awesome, what I did do was toss the sauce and just had the little that was coated over the chicken, was still awesome

Live each day as if it's your last, love those close to you !

There has to be a more exciting way of getting that down.

dude best thing I did, made an oat pancake, like all my mates eat it daily now, its really good..

I mixed 6 eggs with 100g oats, into a bowl and mixed it up, then fried it on a pan like an omelette.

the more eggs you use, the more like a pancake it became (thin/flaT) and the more oats became like a waffle (very fat and thick, but still soft) so like I said 6 eggs with 100g oats was the best ratio for me.

i then put cinnamon, peanut butter and some honey over it. its amazing, kinda feels like an unhealthy meal cause it actually was very nice haha.

give it a try?

Thank you, been looking for something to snack on in the evening or this will make a great breakfast.

Anyone seen that diabetic hot chocolate at shops?

R26 a box and its strong. You only need one teaspoon.

I sometimes add one teaspoon to my brown rice. Instant rice chocolate pudding :)

When i am not prepping for a show, Peanut butter is my go to food! I put it in EVERYTHING! Mince, rice and Peanut butter makes a great meal high in essential fats, carbs and protein!

I get my Peanut butter pretty Cheap, just bought 3kg of unsalted, unsweetened natural peanut butter.
While on prep I pour whey on everything. Drinking Banana flavoured whey at the moment. Goes great with my plain oats, and with my peanut butter mixed with whey on my rice cakes!

Try not to boil your veggies. Makes them all mooshy and soggy!!! Just buy frozen veggies, that are essentially already "cooked". Just needs to be heated, so they still have a crunch to them, and full of flavour and nutrients. Especially mixed veggies and broccoli.

You can make your meat interesting, for my evening meal i would make a baked egg on top of my steak. Egg is out of the diet now, so I take my avo and spread it over my fillet, tastes great!

You sound like my Mrs, lucky her she married me, and I am a professional chef so she does not cook for me at all thankfully.

Trick to steaming vegetables is not to cook them to death, when your greens start turning a really intense green during the cooking, they are ready and have a bite to them and some taste. I add fresh or dried herbs to my steaming water you can even pour in some white wine and it will add flavour to the steam.

My chicken I make a paste of spices peri-peri (dried powder), paprika, dry thyme and puree garlic I mix it with extra virgin olive oil into a paste put my chicken in a plastic bag add some paste and coat the pieces. Then I sear them in a hot non stick pan quickly on both sides and finish cooking them in the steamer to keep them nice and juicy. You need to cook chicken till 86 degrees C to kill any bacteria. Over cooking it makes it dry.

I try as much as possible to save were I can on my food bills and I would rather spend a grand on food than on shakes etc.

When I buy chicken I get the whole bird remove all the skin and visible fat, coat it with my spice paste. I remove breast meat and then shred the remaining chicken, I make a stock out of the left over bones to which I add cut up fresh vegetables and shredded chicken meat so have virtually fat free chicken soup to use as a snack.

When I look at the prices of whey powder I can die all it is the left over waste from making cheese, when you make cheese you curdle the milk to get your curds for cheese and what is left is a siff looking liquid which is the whey.

I buy full cream milk from the dairy factory shop for R17 for 2L put it in a pot heat it it up to just below boiling point and add lemon juice to curdle it. It forms lumps of what is now soft white cheese like ricotta and I strain the whey off. If I want to make it more concentrated, bringing it to the boil and stirring it till the water content boils away same as making evaporated milk. You can add what ever flavors you like after that like cocoa powder or put in a liquidizer with frozen berries.
