My Diet needs some tweaking was created by Matty421
Hi all, this is my first post here, been reading the forums for quite a while and have really learnt a lot! So thanks a lot.

Ok so here's my diet i've been on for about a week and a half now:

Meal 1:

whey shake :114 cals

Meal 2:

4 large whole eggs : 369 cals
1/2 cup oates : 153 cals

Meal 3:

175 grams Boiled chicken breast: 281 cals
1 cup Steamed broccoli : 103 cals

Meal 4:

175 grams Boiled chicken breast: 281 cals
1 cup Steamed broccoli : 103 cals

Meal 5 ( post workout)
Whey shake : 114 cals

Total : 1518 cals

+- 188 grams of protein a day
57 grams carbs a day
61 grams fat a day

This diet was hard for the first 2 days but now its easy.
I'm only doing very light cardio after my workout because im at quite a low defecit

Stats:
height: 186 cm
weight 79.2 kg
bf around 13% ( really need to get this checked)

basicly I need some advice on whether or not i should just go full keto and up my cals to 1700 a day or
stick with it. I haven't lost any strength on this diet but when I come home from gym at night i literally go straight to bed and pass out.

Hey bud, firstly welcome.
Next how old are you?

Those calories are seriously low...

Go get your daily calorie requirements here :

www.thecalculatorsite.com/health/bmr-calculator.php

At 13 % you're already rather lean, how did you get to this percentage? in other words what method did you use?

And Finally yes, I think keto may be a good option for you. But EAT more ;)

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

Hey man thanks for the link, I checked it out and my bmr value is 1936
and my daily calorie requirement is 3001 cals.

If I ate that much I would be legit bulking lol.

My diet before this one had a bit more carbs in it and I was on about 2250 - 2400 cals a day and my weight wasn't changing at all.

Since I started this new diet I've lost 1.4 kgs in 11 days so its almost like a kg a week. ( i'll check on monday)

I got a mate thats busy completeing a personal training certificate, he took my bf% but told me he doesn't really know how to do it yet so I need to have it redone, he came out at 13%

and to answer your question i'm 22 years old

Hay bud welcome

I'm my opinion keto works to get you hard quick but will leave you very depleted and absolutely no energy

You don't have to be afraid of carbs , keep to low GI carbs and just get the timing right , morning carbs and post workout carbs , leave all the carbs after 4 pm and stick to veggies and some fats

Hey bud
Those calories are pretty low, what kind or training split are you on? Post a pic and the guys on here are pretty accurate with body fat readings.

Rather get someone with a few years experience to do the skinfold test, do a seven site measurement.
