T3 & Clen advice for 17 yr old was created by bigmomma
Hello, first time so not sure if in the correct place. My 17 year old son has been trying to loose weight and condition up for the last four years. done the eating plan the gym all the shakes and all the shop stuff. He is 6ft and weighs 124kg. He is desperate to loose and tone up but is uninspired due to all the effort put in and no results. Someone suggested clenbuterol and T3. He wants to do it now in the holidays for 3 weeks. Any suggestions please?

Your son wont get advice here as he is underage.

First off weight loss isnt over night. It didnt go on over night and it wont come off over night. Your son needs to be consistent with eating clean good food which u as the mother should be supplying. So baked chicken breasts, egg whites lean steak, plain fish. Things like rice potato and oats for carbs and healthy fats. No processed foods. Second lly your son needs to get active. 30-45mins of cardio work daily with weight training 4-5 days a week. With out that all efforts are in vein.

Your son needs to stay away from : sugar, sweets, chocolate, bread, cheese, breakfast cereals, proceed meat, pies, fizzy drinks.

If you are worried it is about hormone levels take him to a doctor and ask for a food allergy test and thyroid panel to be done.

Your son needs to work harder and stop looking for drugs to speed up the process.

Can put my bottom dollar that if your son eats 1.5 skinless chicken breasts with 1/2 cup cooked brown rice and 1/4 cup if nuts 5x a day he will loose weight as long as he is training hard and doing cardio.

T3 for somebody that young is retarded. Do you understand the mechanism through which it works? I can't condone T3 unless a person is of proper age, iron levels beyond good, surplus protein consumed and preferably on gear.

If he's been trying to loose weight since 13, he's not doing it right. Lacks effort, not enough commitment. Forget the shakes. He should've been playing sport in school and not allowed unlimited access to the kitchen. Sorry, I don't think these forums are for you.

Bigmomma, your son does not need the assistance of drugs. There is a big difference between drugs and the over the counter products that you have bought him so far. The fact that your son even has access to the drugs means he is probably hanging out with the wrong people. Kids that age using drugs or having access to them are lazy and will be looking for the shortcuts without considering long term health. Please understand that these drugs may have long term health issues, as a mother you should be very opposed to him even suggesting it. My mum would have slapped me around the house until I got to my dads room and then he would have knocked me out cold.

Unfortunately no one here will want to help with your sons drug suggestions. Get him to see a dietician and maybe a personal trainer until he is training properly. Losing weight if you have healthy hormones shouldn't take as long as it has taken him, take him for a blood test and then analyze his diet and training.

The fact that you're on here means that you care about your son. Don't let him be silly, please.

Edit: Also remember, your body works in a simple way. If you eat 1 calorie over maintenance, you're gaining weight. If you eat 1 calorie under maintenance, you're losing. Get him 500-700 calories under maintenance and he will be losing a relatively good amount EVERY single day.

Some solid advice...

I don't think you realise what these substances are or do so don't take offence. But remember they are illegal for the purposes you are wanting to use them and do you really want your son to know you think it's ok to do illegal drugs? Teenagers are likely to use it to justify bad behaviour later on.

Get him to eat right, the same meals every day at the same time. Do it a month and I guarantee he will have lost.

We are more than willing to help him with diet and training.

Remember clen can kill ypu you and T3 can leave you reliant on the hormone for life.

When it hurts... That's when i start counting, because that's when it starts to count.

Thank you all for your advise. He has been training with a personal instructor and eats grilled chicken and no carbs. Been to a dietician and gyms three times a week and plays rugby for three days a week. He has reached the stage where he just cant anymore. He asked me about these two products and i am asking you? I am proud that he has asked me and not gone behind my back and taken them.

Clenbuterol is a controlled substance. Aside from the health issues, is your son subject to drug testing? Have you considered the ramifications of a positive test?

Okay, give us all the facts here?

Height
Weight
BF%
Training routine
Diet

If he's training hard and eating right but not making progress then there are potentially other issues.
like hormonal or psychological or both.

I'm assuming he is obese and really does need to lose weight???

Post his exact diet, YOUR SON DOESN'T NEED CHEMICALS !!!!!!!

Did you know clen can cause heart failure if used incorrectly?

T3 on the other hand can stuff up his thyroid and then you will have fat issues for the next 60 years

He simply shouldn't need to resort to them! If his diet and training are in check then he WILL lose weight. People often look for an easy way out because they simply are too lazy to put the work in or can't control their diet, just asses all options before committing...

Yeah okay good for him for consulting with you. If he's working with you as a team you can keep an eye on him and encourage, and discipline him. Do you prepare those meals yourself? If so invest in some Spray 'n Cook and encourage him to eat green leafy veg. What about the school tuckshop / cafeteria? That's Calorie Central. Avoid ANY meal replacement shakes for now.

Respect for being the kind of parent that allows his son to be open about any issue. That is a big deal! So well done.
But at his age chemicals is a total no-no.

Rather spend your hard earned money on getting him a personal trainer or nutritionist.
A proper balanced diet can do wonders if he also puts in the hard work at the gym. But it won't happen overnight.

Good luck to both of you and keep us updated.

Nate
