I joined this forum 6 years ago on 12 October 2010.

My stats at that time were :
Age - 27
Height - 1.8m
Weight - 131.5kg
Body fat % is +/- 30% (Probably greater than 30% as I was obese)
Waist - 139.5cm

Like many obese/fat people I came to this forum to figure out what aas(steroid) I should take to help me lose fat. I was advised by the experts on here that my bodyfat is way too high to use aas and I need to drop my bodyfat percentage to below 15% before considering going on a cycle. That's not what I wanted to hear and tons of people I know were telling me that I can go on a cycle and it will help me lose fat faster.

So the question to myself was : Do I listen to the experts on this forum or to people who think they know it all better than these experts ?
I opted to listen to the experts on here since I did not want to cause damage to myself.

One of the main factors to losing fat is your eating but I still felt I needed to use a product to help me lose weight/fat. After some research reading I decided to do a 3 week cycle of LP Clen and T3 and I reduced carbs, started gyming 4 times a week and 6 months later I dropped my weight down to 119.5kg by mid April 2011.

My diet was still crap so once I stopped stopped using the Clen and T3 and slowed down my gyming, the weight just crept back so I got back to gym and tried eating cleaner.

By August 2013 my weight was 124kg and then I started using FFF and following 16:8 Intermittent Fasting. It worked well for me and by mid October 2013 I weighed 117kg after 90 days of using FFF.

Then I got lazy and spent most of my 2014 year away from gym and my eating was crap(not like it was any good previously).

By the beginning of 2015 my weight was back up to 134kg and I was turning 32 years in April 2015. I realized that my eating was the culprit that caused my weight gain because no matter what product I used or how much I gym in a week, I will not see sustainable results if my eating was geared towards gaining weight.

I started paying attention to my calorie intake and learning about the calorie content of food. I discovered that I require x amount of calories per day to remain as I was but if I limited my daily calorie intake to less than what was needed daily by my body then it creates a calorie deficit which my body will then use up bodyfat to compensate for the calorie deficit. This sounded like the perfect science behind weight loss so I began a week of 1800 calories daily calorie limit. I started losing weight without any fat loss products and without going to the gym. This was highly motivating! I also learnt that you can eat a ton of food that will be low calories but high in volume so that helps me get full.

So focusing on calories started to show positive results and then I watched a documentary by Dr Mike Mosley who did extensive research on FASTING and came up with the 5:2 Fast Diet. All one has to do is eat normal on 5 days of the week and FAST on 2 non consecutive days of the week. FASTING under this circumstances means eating a maximum of 500 calories for females and 600 calories for males on FAST days. I opted for a variation to this method of eating is known as 4:3 Fast Diet where you eat normal on 4 days of the week and FAST on 3 non-consecutive days of the week. I started this and "fasted" on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I still ate burgers, pasta, chocolates, cakes, pizza, potatoes, rice, etc. on my 4 normal days and I lost my 1st 10 kg without going to the gym. Then I got back to the gym and within 11 months I had lost 30kg :) I was not strict during those 11 months and I took a week or two off for special occasions. Ita all about customizing your week to suit you and if it doesnt work out this week then you just make a change for making next week yield a better result.

I also combined the protocols of 16:8 Intermittent Fasting with this 4:3 method of eating and they work really well together. I use www.fatsecret.co.za to track my calories.

Read up about this method of eating on www.thefastdiet.co.uk - It is mindblowing and I am proof that fasting is the way to sustainable weight/fat loss. There are tons of tweaks one can do to customize the way they adopt a fasting lifestyle.

My Recommended Daily Intake on Fatsecret is 2600 calories. I have exceeded this by 150% on Thursdays, Saturday and Sundays. I really indulge and enjoy my weekends but I stick to my plan below for the week. If you don't work out what your daily maximum calories should be then you are at a huge disadvantage as you need that information to keep yourself in a state of calorie deficit.

My typical week is as follows :
Monday - Fast Day
Tuesday - Low Carb Day (Carbs under 50g) and I limit my calories to +/-2000 calories.
Wednesday - Fast Day
Thursday - Moderate Carb Day and I try not to exceed 2600 calories
Friday - Fast Day
Saturday - Moderate/High Carb Day
Sunday - Moderate/High Carb Day

I go to the gym at least twice a week but aim for 3 to 4 times in some weeks.

I started with 600 calorie fast days and now I do 23 calories on a fast day by just getting by on a cup of green tea, 2 cups of coffee and water. I never thought I could do something like that but over time you get to push your boundaries.

This has been a long journey and I am sharing this with everyone who battles with obesity and feel that they need aas or a prescribed medication to lose weight. You don't. I knew nothing about calories when I started the 4:3 Fast Diet but by doing some googling and using www.fatsecret.co.za I was able to learn and implement it. FatSecret will even calculate your Recommended Daily Intake(RDI) of calories that you need.

There is alot of misinformation about fasting damaging your metabolism and losing your muscle mass but that's not true at all. In fact I gained muscle mass whilst following this fasting lifestyle.

My success in losing 30kg is that this method of eating is sustainable and you can indulge when you need to and just get right back into it. I took no fat loss products or aas from 2015 to now during this 30kg weight loss.

Oh I almost forgot, my 139.5cm waist is now under 120cm and I went from a size 46 to a size 38/40 :woohoo: I actually for the 1st time in my life bought v-neck slim fit T-shirts for myself because I can finally fit in them and they make me look good

The best supplement that one can take for weight/fat loss is TIME B)

I am keen to answer any questions that you may have so don't feel shy to ask.

What a story and inspiration bro!! You proved my point where I allways say that there is no excuse to be "overweight and unhealthy"

By changing your lifestyle and focus on your diet and training routine is the answer. Its a combination of it all. Even with steriod use, the above needs to be adhered to! Again, great story bro and would like to het more about your journey as you progress

Well done and thank you for sharing such an informative and inspirational story. If you don't mind, I will be passing your story on to some friends and colleagues that I know will benefit from this.

Can I ask: how do you find your energy levels and overall sense of wellbeing on your fast days? Can you still be productive, focused and feel good?

Also, a before and after photo would go a long way to supporting your claims, and encouraging those that are skeptical of intermittent fasting. Not doubting you bro, I just know some people are more skeptical of anecdotal evidence than others.

My energy levels on fast days are really high. I actually have gone 38 hours with no food and then spend 1.5 to 2 hours in the gym and then have my protein shake after my 40th hour of fasting. Fasted training is really beneficial to me since the body starts burning fat for fuel after the 1st 16 hours of fasting. It takes time tho, make small changes each week until you find it really easy to have fast days. I always walk out of the gym feeling great because I always try to improve from my previous workout.

I'll post some pics up this weekend. I need to take new ones. My entire journey was documented in my FatSecret Journal along with my weekly weigh=ins that show on a graph.

These aren't claims. Just my experience and my journey. I've assisted others to adopt a fasting lifestyle and they also have yielded excellent results that they never could achieve previously. The best part of it all is that we get to still enjoy life when we need to and still maintain a state of weight/fat loss.

The best proof of weight/fat loss is when you have to punch new holes in your belt because the existing holes don't hold your jeans up anymore

I haven't had a chance to take out new pics this weekend but I had taken pics 7 months apart from 29 April 2015 when I started at 134kg and then got down to around 110kg by 29 November 2015.

These pics really don't do justice but I hope you can see a difference. Personally I found huge difference in the way clothes fit me and had to make new holes in my belts :) My clothes literally fall of me.

My lowest weight was 104kg in the 2nd week of April 2016. I took a break and relaxed a bit since then but back on track now and aiming to clear the 100kg goal weight within the next few months. My current weight is about 108kg now.

I still have a long way to go in terms of body fat percentage but its work in progress and I'm enjoying the journey so far.

Here's pics I took on 31 May 2016. I'm sure you might be able to see some progress although it wasn't taken in the same place and way in which I usually take my progress pics for consistency.

Do I look more muscular ??? Hope I do!!

You have plenty of excess skin so make a conscious effort to loose weight very slowly so thathat your skin will shrink with your shape. Keep at the pace you are now.

Just an update about my tummy measurement, I stated it as "waist" on my 1st post as being 139.5cm. This is the measurement going around me in line with my belly button.

This morning I measured my tummy(directly around myself from belly button) at 116cm :cheer: :woohoo:

I'm extremely happy and look forward to the journey ahead to drop more bodyfat :)

Now that I have lost a considerable amount of weight/fat by paying attention to my calories, macros and eating, my next step is to add GW-501516 to enhance my results. My bodyfat is still too high for any AAS but after a month of using GW-501516 I will start using RAD-140 as well. I'll start a new thread to document my results whilst using these products.

Well done dude, just take this as positive criticism, you have achieved MASSIVE results but the downside is that you have had your body under strain for a long time, be very careful what you take, your body now that the weight is coming off has to adjust and the body doesn't handle big adjustments well. Be very careful of stimulants / pre workouts, just take it slow, everyone wants quick results and that is normally where all the damage comes from, so slowly slowly bro. You have no need for hormones of any kind right now you are doing an outstanding job, you have not stagnated, you need to do this the old fashioned way, through same way you put it on, slow and steady, there is no magic pill or shot you can take without side effects, keep it safe and keep it healthy ;)

Thanks for the advice 00pump :)

I don't use any pre-workout or stimulants except a cup of coffee or green tea about an hour before going to the gym. I train in a fasted state and that works well for me so far. The only supplements I use is creatine and Pro Nutrition Whey Fusion Protein Powder.

I'll be taking minimal dosage of GW-501516 and only add RAD-140 after a month or two. I did try GW-501516 for 30 days about 4 years ago and it wasn't bad at all but your advice is very much appreciated and I definitely do intend to take it slow and steady especially because I don't want the excess skin to be too much of an issue. I think very few people have used RAD=140 without already doing an AAS cycle and keeping a log of results so for me its also research that perhaps might help others.

I believe that TIME is the best supplement :)
