Howzit guys, sorry another nutrition question again ;)trying to learn as much as i can!

Do any of you guys use chicken mince? i found some the other day and its pretty cheap.. just don't know if its good quality or if its the off cuts :X

Anyways as i know it beef is a slower releasing protein than chicken so if i mixed some beef mince with some chicken mince would that be a nice meal?
or would the mission outway the benefits?

dude just be carefull with chicken and beef mince,i know that they use suet(fat) and carbs as a filler to give the mince bulk...so its not as lean as u may think it is...

I doubt that chicken mince is made from chicken fillets.
Mince is normally made from the cheper/cheapest cut of meat possible and the fat content is normally high.
The best option would be to mince your own chicken fillets, if you asked the butcher I'm sure he would also do it for you as long as it's a big quantity.

Very true. I also ask my butchers to mince a topside cut of my choosing. Very red, very lean, very real. Mince is dodge these days...

Yeah, a pal of mine owned a butchery. When it comes to mince, they do use the worst part with the most fat plus its not the freshest meat used. And they have a special spray that is used on the meat to give it a more "redish" fresh lean look as well as preserving the meat a little longer!
