macros for fillet steak/chicken breast??? was created by truckstopper
I have found i much prefer Fillet steak to chichen breasts, and am eating it twice a day but the figure i had for fat was 8gramms but when i worked it out it actually come sto 34gr per 200gr.........this worries me.

I would like to know how much fat is in 200gr(uncooked weight) FILLET steak, all fat etc trimmed off?
And also 200gr(uncooked weight) of skinless chicken breast?

Thank you very much

Health 24 gives these figures....

Many of the foods containing protein are also rich in fat. In fact, the fat content of these foods are sky high. For example, an 800 g steak fillet contains 16 - 24 teaspoons of fat (100 g fat), 38 eggs contain 150 g fat (half a cup), while 800 g cheese contains 260 g (30%) fat.

Ostrich fillet is apparantly the leanest meat around with the highest protein content

Ostrich is about as lean as red meat will get.
Chicken is still leaner, but not by much.

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view
