Bodyfat percentage method was created by spike
Hey, What formula do you all use for bodyfat and which is most accurate?

I know when i first put my caliper measurements into the various formula's my results ranged from 6.7 to 13%

Just had my bodyfat checked this weekend after 12 weeks on cycle and the result was unbelievabe - 3.85%, using Jackson-Pollock. Now i know im very lean but that was way beyond my expectations. And yes, the person doin the testing was very reliable, in fact a respected member of this forum.

Um, but im scared of needles...

Geez...3.85% !! I admire your dedication and discipline. My BF is at 16% at the moment (VA machine). Going on 15 week cycle soon and hope to go below 10% after cycle for the first time in my life.
How did your cycle look like and did DJ do your diet?

If everybody does it, is it still cheating?

yeah feel pretty damn normal :dry:

i knew it would be pretty low but thats ridiculous, thats pretty much essential fat, and im sure i got a bit more than that.

Tho even if thats inaccurate it cant be TOO far off, so makes this contest prep a bit easier.

Man I went from 9% to friggen 13 from December...

May be more now since I increased carbs

Spike u think maybe u shud put abit more on since the show is still couple of months away? coz to maintain that lean look for that long is gonna be bloody hard.

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

Speaking of maintaining BF%, being a recreational BB like myself what would be the ideal BF% to maintain to look great right throughout the year?

My body is naturally lean, prob around 8% normally, this last cycle my weight has gone from 77 to 81 and i can tell i've hardened a lot, never looked this big before, but have weighed slightly more.

My diet has been pretty standard, 4 egg whites and 100g oats for breakfast, midmorning 1-2 cups brown rice with tin tuna and a bit of trim mayo, lunch is 200g chicken, early afternoon is 100g Future life cereal, 50g whey pre workout, 50g whey post workout, dinner whatever is goin (meat, potato, veg) and then prob another 200g chicken later. I also have been eating pretty much anything else goin, takeaway about twice a week, fullcream milk everyday, coke etc, and other junk that crosses my path... Diet to me is just eating as much good stuff as possibel.

My cycle is 640mg supertest and 350 equi per week, and i've been eating to bulk

Guess im lucky with my metabolism, my body just doesnt like storing.

@Snok: Im still eating to grow, reckon i can put on another 2-3 kilo of muscle before i seriously start to diet, just recently removed all junk food, short sugars and full cream milk from my diet, gettin as clean as possible.

Um, but im scared of needles...

@ North boy - I think mission is right 10% isnt bad ur abs shud show at that BF... even 12% isnt bad...but 10 is better...to maintain below 6% is hard..Spike is lucky in the fact he loses BF pretty easyly and has a high metabolism.

@ Spike - Ill be screaming ur name from the crowd AHAHAHAHAH...

dude u cutting it fine still trying to bulk but i guess thats fine seeing ogre couldnt get more than 3mm of skin from any where on your body,i am gonna email u a diet that should send your growth up a bit..

All support will be much appreciated Snokkie, i really wanna do my absolute best. I'll be in the 70 - 80kg category so would like to come in as close to the top end of that as possible, say 79kg.

Just started practising a bit of posing now, hell its a workout on its own!! So no laughing if you see me at gym striking one dashing pose in the mirror :blush:

I have a similar metabolism to Spike,extreme-ecto transforming to meso.My body fat is usually between 8 - 9% at any given time no matter what i eat.I also see you have very little EFA's in your diet spike.My Dr told me to get my bodyfat to stabilise around 10-12% because low bodyfat is bad for natural test production and your overall endocrine system,so i include alot of fat with mostly avacado's,salmon other tin fish.

Sub 4% is very impressive but also dangerously low,you shouldnt hold it that low for longer than 2 months.

The VA one will give u diff results coz its shit...if u want proper correct to the tea results u need to go a profesional. e.g dietition
