What are your thoughts on using marinades(home made) and spices on food?

for 2kgs of filleted chicken i made a marinade of 1 tablespoon olive oil,two table spoons of nando's hot sauce,1 tablespoon of mrs balls chutney and a teaspoon of garlic, all wierd and wonderful tastes but it makes the food worth while to eat...

Four of my five-six daily meals contain meat, mostly chicken, lean beef, ostrich and koedoe. And after a while it can become very boring if you just cook them without any marinades or sauces, so I use these Royco sauces and marinades that you mix with 250ml boiling water. Most of them basically have no nutritional value, so it’s not going to affect your cutting at all.

By looking at your recipe, it’s not going to a problem... especially since you use it with 2kg of chicken.

Depends on what your goals are - if you are trying to get down to a competition 4 or 5% BF then i wont use anything, but if you are trying to get your 12% down to 10% - by all means have some fucking flavour

Agree with Mike007 and Admin, don't think any of the members here are Pro's that get paid to push weights and make a living doing it, so basically the goals are that of your own and driven by yourself. Adding minute amounts of salt and spicing will not set you back at all and eating blan food for long periods of time will eventually make you dislike what you are doing. Your diet should reflect you, there are various ways to stay lean and cutting out all the vices in your life is dfinately not the way for me, extra cardio etc can also be put into the equation if you really want to be anal about your gaols and calorie intake and burning.
Do what you love and love what you do.

It is not what car you drive, but the size of the arm hanging out the window.

Try slicing your sweet potatoes raw into thin slithers and bake them in the oven with fan on at 180degrees for ± 15 - 20 minutes. Now you have nice \"potato chips\" to carry around....
