More random questions? was created by m0lt3n
Hey, sorry I am doing the random questions thing again, but would really like some feedback..

1. I take my simple carbs directly after workout and then 15min later my whey, question, for the protein to be shutled it needs to be digested first, carbs will take 10min or something to spike insulin, wont I want the whey in there already then? How long before the whey is turned to aminos?
2. Same with the fats, they take longer to digest, what is your feeling on them, can they get shuttled also? (reading forum of evan centopani and he says no  )
3. What nuts should I buy? Cashew nuts? macadamia? and where? They are flippin expensive I see. (Macadamia  , will use the oil there..)
4. Why are flax seed tabs not a good idea? I bought a big bottle at dischem, decent price, and now saw they were not a good joice. What other plant oil is better and where can I get that at decent price?
5. Fish oil it seems are the most important one, but the oils needs to be processed right kept cool blah blah, will tabs be fine? And which ones to buy? (yeah, I have a budget :( and these stuff gets expensive)
6. Eating avos, do u eat the whole thing, thats a lot, eating half and the rest spoil... advice?
7. I like adding milk to my shakes as it tastes better. Is this not advised (extra much B) ) for the post WO whey shake as the cassein in milk will slow absorption, or is it to little to matter?
8. I add extra digestive bran to my oats in the morning, good or bad idea?
9. And are you guys always bulking then cutting, or is it fine to play in the middle ground? I am now slowly cutting, not on keto, just eating cleaner, but I must say, I am eating almost as much as I can while still losing bf.

Thanks in advance
always learning

bro mix the whey and glucose together,u not gonna have any problems doing that.

yes fats take longer to digest but its best to keep fats at least 1 + 1/2 hours before work out, and then the same after your post work out drink.if there are any fats in the blood stream they are going to get shuttled and stored...

nuts you can use which ever u can get hold of,macadamia's have less carbs but more fats than other nuts.

olive oil is better than flax.flax tastes like a horses rear end.

use the dischem softgels, they are about R160 for 360 soft gels

i wouldnt use avos in my diets.they look like snot when mashed any way...

the thing is with milk is all the additional calories from the fat and aswell as the lactose in the milk, just stick to water, ditch the milk, rather eat extra calories than drink milk IMHO

adding bran is fine, fiber will help keep u regular.

u can find the middle ground,i find alot of the lean bulking diets i do for people they actually loose weight and get stronger... its a case of trading lean muscle for body fat and the more lean muscle u put on the more body fat u are gonna loose, also if your carbs are lowish and fats moderate you will loose quite a bit of water...

About the nuts, I have read that when they roast the nuts the heat has a negative impact on the oil inside, so raw will be better an healthier. Its like frying with olive oils, it denatures it making it less healthy that eating it raw.

I think maybe almonds in general have a better overall nutritional profile. The reason for mac nuts will be the lower carb content.

heat makes the fats go rancid is how I also have it. Man, raw is not tasty.
Peanut butter...which type is best? Mens health once said the yellow can, I cant remember what make, that the one you guys getting? crunchy? And then, how do you eat it? with a spoon? with a prayer?

I should've named this the fatty threat.
Eat avo with a spoon out of the skin without mashing it, just add salt, that is not to bad

another question, I am hearing a lot on supplementing with liver tabs or whatever they are called, dried cow liver tabulated, contains enzymes and iron and maybe aminos, what is the feedback on this?

Dried cow liver

Use the black cat peanut butter with the yellow lid (sugar and salt free). Go for smooth.
I simply add it to my pre bed whey shake

Why would you want to take liver tabs???
Take Amino's on their own.

Avo is fine, if you are on keto just watch out for the carbs but the fats are good fats so nothing wrong with eating an avo a day, but I wouldn't eat the whole thing at once
