Let me know what you think was created by Etwa
Hi guys,
Every now and then you get the opportunity to share your experiences with others. this doesn’t necessarily mean you have all the answers but it does mean you are willing to share and reflect on the years of time spent (as we all do) shaping and perfecting the physique you have to match the picture in your head.
When reading the post please let me have your comments and let me know what you think about where i might be doing something wrong. as bodybuilders we are always keen to improve on the last month's performance both diet, training and habit wise.
My typical day (every weekday) starts with:
• 4:30 wakeup and have pre workout drink (trying caspari superpump 250 right now) and combining that with animal m-stack (I haven’t been using m-stack for some time now and wanted to try it again to remind myself on why it worked for me a couple of years back. I like caspari and think the pump I get before training does wonders, not too sure about m-stack though i wasn’t too impressed.
• a shot of 1iu's of nordi to follow that. I take nordi IM - let me know if you agree
• You might notice I don’t take any meal or whey post workout, mainly for cutting reasons but let me know if you think i should
• 5:00 train for about 60 min, training split consists of
• Monday - chest & calves
• Tuesday - back & abs
• Wednesday - quads, hams & calves
• Thursday - shoulders (including traps) & abs
• Friday - bi's & tri's
• Afterwards i do light moderate pace cardio for 40 min (not prepping for contest but trying to get my bf down to about 5-7% right now.
• 7:15 post workout shake (whey 60g protein)
• 9:00 whey shake (60g protein)
• 11:00 30g of tuna with brown rice with veggies and one fruit
• 13:00 30g of tuna alone
• 15:00 2x chicken breast with whey protein
• 17:30 fish or chicken 40g protein
• All together I’m probably getting in about 300 g of protein in per day. My weight is 96kg right now. i don’t think my diet is a issue but let me know if you think otherwise especially if I require a pre-workout shake.
• my diet is very solid all week round and don’t allow myself much cheat meals anyway protein intake might be a bit less and more staggered but nothing below the 250g per weekend day.
• I’m also not focussing on carbs enough, not sure if you agree and what changes i would make there since my goal right now is “chizzling” out the abs.
• DJ i would appreciate your view on the diet and let me know what you think also
• I take another 1iu’s nordi before bed time again. I'm sure this might spark some discussion on whether I should rather take it @ about 17:00 perhaps – let me know what your think
Appreciate you having a peek and allowing me the opportunity to do so. Like I mentioned, were always looking at ways to improve and if you notice that I could please let me know!

your work outs must be shocking bro, i cant train on an empty belly to my full potential,by cutting out carbs and fats like u have is just gonna force u into starvation and slow the metabolism going down, your protein content of the diet seems fine but how do you know when you do not weigh and measure everything out,u need a scale, its like saying there is 20g of carbs in a banana. well is the banana 10cm long and 3cm thick or is it 6cm thick and 8cm long? all these things make a huge difference!!

i have to say that my training is going good. i do feel a power diff with cutting the fats and carbs but nothing significant that i can say.

I do see your point on the carbs though but really dont wanna carb load that would hinder my goals for cutting down now. there is a fine line between the two and which one you wanna focus on. how would upping my carbs affect cutting down my waistline right now is the real question.

bro i didnt say carb load at all,but having carbs in your diet is needed unless u are doing a keto diet. having 100g of carbs is low carb, having 400-500g of carbs is loading.

I think you are on the edge of catabolism, let alone cutting. You need a meal pre workout... 60min of weight training followed by 40min of cardio on nothing but a pre workout supp is crazy. You need some proteint first thing in the morning to halt catabolism from the overnight fast, and you need some carbs (oats will work well) to fuel your workout. Dont worry about the cutting, 60 min of weights will burn thru a bowl of oats and by the time you get to the cardio you will be running on fat reserves. No one is saying load up on carbs, but you need enough to fuel your workout so that you arent just chewing thru muscle.
As for your tuna servings, are those 30g of protein from tuna, or 30g of tuna? Thats a spoonful!

The fact that your first solid meal is at 11 is not a good thing. Shift some carb meals earlier.

Um, but im scared of needles...
