nandos and fast food was created by ice-rip

just wondering if i can get away with some junk food every now and again coz a hectic schedule means little time for preparation. what would you guys consider the best and worst fast food one can eat. is nandos chicken a clean source of protein if you remove the skin.

i am fully aware that junk food should be kept to a minimal or even not eaten at all if one is looking for lean gains however what would your choice be if you didnt have your chicken breat, greens and olive oil on hand......

If I am being strict, I will get half a chicken at Nandos and eat it with the skin. I still consider this clean and healthy. It's when you having the bun and the mayo and a coke to wash it down that it becomes a problem

good. coz i just bought a full chicken to split into 2 meals. weighed the chicken once and i reckon a quarer breast has around 45grams of protein coz it weighs in around 190 odd grams if you subtract the bone weight afterwards.

what about mcdonalds. anything we can get away with there. i believe that their patties are actually made of turkey and not beef as they claim. dont know how much thruth ther is to that.

hmmmm. im hungry now

No McDonalds... That stuff is the Devil.. Leave a pattie on the shelf for a week it wont go off.

No KFC no McDonalds. Tiagos / Fantana / Nandos, should be ok...

Also I think that calculation might be a bit wrong. DJ could advise.. That protein count seems a little high for a Quarter chicken.

why not just buy smoked chicken breasts? 1/4 chicken 190g of cooked chicken? ummm thighs and wings usually have 17g of protein per 100g raw weight and are higher in fat... the breasts are the only way to go..

I usually go for a half nandos chicken - skinless & salad. Whats also quite nice of theirs & relatively healthier when compared to other options is their chicken strips & spicy rice. Mcdonalds is a swear word here & so is kfc!

One of the more 'upmarket' spars here in pmb do the greatest chikn & slim mayo pre mix. Get some seed loaf, smack the mix on and you good to go!

LOL!!! I also LOVE hot food.. However 1 day I saw my ass. I was sick of getting 'hot' curry and I wanted 'VUMA' so I said to this Indian guy at his Indian spot here in Jozi, so I said to the guy, I want this hotter than any Indian could eat...

They must have ENJOYED EVERY SECOND OF IT.... Every bite, I needed to sip on my coke and then put Naan on my lips.. HAHAHA, I managed to finish it but BOY OH BOY was my stomach destroyed!

Nandos actually fry the chicken before grilling it for a couple of seconds.

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

I can taste fried chicked a mile away. They might pre-grill them, but no frying.
Spur uses the frying trick for sure.

I doubt it bud, I've seen them take out the pre-GRILLED chicken out of that storage fridge at the bottom of the grill.

Cattle Baron also pre-fries their whole bady deboned chicken and if its done wrong it tastes like shit.

I reckon have all your meals prepared the night before and you won't ever have a problem.
Carry whey and shaker in passenger seat with a nice tupperware backup of almonds in cubby-hole
