i take in carbs before and after training.it helps with energy and you burn them off as you gym.i am cutting down and doin this and i still lose weight.i am too afraid that if i don't take in some protein and carbs before a weight training session that my body will go into a catabolic state and we don't want that.
Carbs won't hinder fatloss pre-workout unless ur in calorie surplus. Im eating simple and complex carbs pre-workout on a maintanance diet and still loosing bf. so it depends on the amount uconsume and ur total calorie intake for the day.
