Adding flavour to chicken.. was created by HDS
Hey guys

What do you use to flavour your chicken?
I'm steaming my chicken and add some herbs etc but after a while it gets a bit blunt. What do you add to spice it up?

Thanx

Keeping it real...

Depending on the dish I like to use Green Peppers, Garlic, Onions and tomatoes. Watch your calories with the tomatoes as they can tend to have more sugar in them

What I do is this..

I have a huge Tupperware , where I through in 2-3kg chicken.

I buy either the chicken spices or Portuguese chicken spices...

I mix it with water ... throw it into the tupperware.

The spices all suck up into the chicken , and its good to go.

what i do is take instant soup, like the powder and then take chicken fillets and then pat it in the powder and then grill it... also if you put fillets in the egg and then put it in the soup powder you can fry it that makes it like a kfc chicken with the basting it adds nice flavour...
Only prob is that the chicken fillets are a lil pricey and eating one pack a gets heavy on the pocket

If I have the time, I mix a tin of tuna in a bowl with half a tin of lentils and a dollop of cottage cheese. Neat tuna sometimes gives me a bit of heartburn.

Off topic but back to the Tuna- I mix 1 tin of Tuna with half a can of BRaai Relish (tomato & Onions) and add in salt and pepper- goes down well and easy- even the kids love it, and usually if it is not a droe worsie it tastes k@k according to them :-)
