Not really,I have done keto diets before and I have never been stronger, most of my best lifts have been on a keto, including a 200kg deadlift for 7 reps...

No u don't struggle to recover at all. The fats from the nuts or peanutbutter or red meat provides the energy u need to train and recover. But more importantly ur body uses its own fat stores for energy and this aids in the recovery process. This is also why a carb up meal is needed weekly to replenish glycogen levels.

A post workout with carbs (frucose, dextrose etc) will bring u out of ketosis immediately. I was very sceptical at first about this but must say it really works. I have lost no strength, in fact I'm still getting stronger. My workouts take the same time to complete, sometimes a little faster. And recovery is very good between sets. Also post workout my body isn't any more sore than it usually would be.

DJ teaching me a loads of new stuff I never knew :P

Depends on what keto diet ur following. I believe there are 3 variations. I'm on a DJ diet. Involves 1 carb up meal preferably on a leg or back day. Don't want to give specifics as like I said its DJ's diet and as they say in afrikaans "mens ploeg nie met n ander man se osse ni". Lol.

its all different person to person, if they have higer body fat levels rather stick to 1 carb up meal limiting fats, protein and fiber and having high carbs in that meal, dont go over 200g of carbs untill the body fat level is beloow 12% and then u can increase the carb ups.

Make's sense the harder you work in the beginning the better the diet gets.
Since I have your attention DJ do you have any tips on post-cycle depression?

get your bloods checked and see if your test levels are back to normal, low test can be the killer.

I used to buy the newest trendiest expensive supplements while waiting and post cycle and lie to myself that they were helping me recover and even grow :silly: Never really worked very well...

Now I use dedication and a trained mind set to stay focused post cycle.

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

If you train first thing in the morning, can one have 50grams oats which is just 26g carbs to fuel workout and then another 50grams oats post workout. Would that take u out of ketosis and into a low carb diet.

If I'm around 25 to 30% bodyfat and I need 2500 calories a day to cut. What sort of macro split would I use on keto. Can one bulk on keto and would it be effective

40% protein,60% fat. no you cannot bulk on keto as you need carbs for maximum muscle contraction. some people can put on a kg or 2 during a ketogenic cutting phaze but its pointless to use it to bulk as carbs will fuel and replenish muscle glycogen. so if you are cutting keto diet,if you are bulking u need carbs,
