Slipped disk - please help!! was created by LSJ
Hi, got a MRI yesterday and these are the results. As you can see my 2nd disk (from the bottom) is not exactly where it should be. (To put it mildly)

The "popped" disk in the second pic in the yellow square is pushing the crap out of my nerve that goes to my left leg. Consequantly I now walk like a homeboy!!

The doc gave me till end of the month to show improvement otherwise he wants to cut it out. I DO NOT WANT A BACK OPP!!

I read everything I could find on the subject but the question is this - Would it be beneficial for me to engage in some exercise (spesific exercise?) Would swimming help? Some yoga ball exercises? What can I do to try and help the healing process?

Please help!!

dude i really feel sorry for you, i have a bad back myself and experience some bad side effects from pinced nerves (shearmans disease i think you call it) and all sorts of related shit. As such, ive been chatting to guys who have had surgeries and its not advisable for a young guy ... see if doctari can give you some advice from a BB/Med perspective ...

Personally i have not found any specific excersise that relives or help to realign popped disks ... rest and wait it out is what ill advise

95% sure I would be operated on. Not big procedure but still... Told me to get to biokenetics asap - get body in as good as possible condition be4 op. Specially focus on core muscles.

Will lessen effect on body, speed up recovery time and ultimately will determine how I come out of the whole story. Op will only be in 'bout 1 months time so there is time to do something about it.

Still a 'gatslag'

Supr crap 2day... Sore like hell and walking like a homeboy! (I'm not 1 just by the way!)

Seeing the biokenetics guy @ 5, starting with my 'pre-opt' training program. Think its goin to be HUGE shift in mindset and exercises. Looking forward though, at least I'm doin something constructive!

Thanks 4 asking, this is really a f-up - especially at my age but suppose a lot of it is attitude. Doctari also stressed having a goal and having vision, really helped alot.
