Bloodwork was created by IronHeart
Hi everyone

I had my bloodwork done a while ago and just wanted some input from the forum.

The reason I had bloodwork done is because I have I lump in my nipple and after a few months with a "specialist" its not improving.

So here goes.

tsh: 1.93 normal level according to docter: .27-4.2
estradiol 84.2 normal level according to docter: 28-165
prolactin 12.6 normal level according to docter: 4-15.2
testosterone 13.13 normal level according to docter: 8-28
shbg 39.6 normal level according to docter: 16.5-84
bio testosterone: 2.23: normal level according to docter: 2.09-13.5

If you still have a lump months after doing a cycle then you need surgery to remove it. If you google it you will find lots of people saying letrozole and nolvadex will remove it but that is not true. You might get a temporary reduction in the size of the lump due to the temporary elimination of estrogen but that's it. Best you can hope for without surgery is a very slight reduction in size after some very unpleasant letro therapy.

When did you last use steroids?

I did my last cycle about 2 years ago.

But about 2 weeks ago the lump started getting sensitive again.
What do you think about my hormone levels?

Hormone levels are dead normal except for test being on the low end but that could possibly also simply be due to timing of the blood test or other factors like alcohol, stress, lack of sufficient sleep. So look at those as a contributing factor before you freak out. Have you got any other recent blood tests to compare to?

Your test but more importantyly your bioavailable test number is very low for someone in their 20s-40s. Most GPs don't have a clue about this stuff and you should always only see a urologist or endo who deals with these issues all the time.

No this is the first time I have done bloods.

But I remember you saying that the gp's dont know what the levels should be.
I'm 25 so the test levels should be about double if I'm not mistaking, isn't the prolactin levels a bit high as well.

Not high enough to worry about. What time did you get blood taken? Prolactin levels vary throughout the day and are highest in the early morning. As with test levels.

It was taken in the evening.

Any thoughts why the gyno would be flaring up?

Nope. It could be due to many factors like medication/alcohol/stress/diet/supplements playing a role. Once you have a lump you will always be very sensitive to estrogen. Is your lump now constantly irritating you or was it just for a few days? When you have a lump it's like having an estrogen signal amplifier installed in your pec, so you will be much more sensitive to fluctuations in your estrogen:androgen ratio levels.

Since about two weeks ago it started irritating me and it feels like its getting worse.

The other weird thing is that I'm not on any medication, I dont drink and my diet has not changed this year.

So what do you think the solution would be, surgery?

The million dollar question. If only it were that simple.

I would supplement extra vitamin D, zinc, and get in more good fats from sources like avo and nuts. All are essential for healthy normal test production. In Winter many men's T level drop due to a vitamin d deficiency. Eat a decent portion of cruciferous veggies every day - natures own mild anti E.

I wouldn't start messing with AI's and supplements to 'artificially' boost your test levels.

You should really see a good endocrinologist and surgery should be your last option. Often the results are not what you'd expect and then you're R40k down the drain.

I will definitely be giving that a try.

Am I correct in saying that a test boost would not necessarily help with the gyno, and would it be beneficial to take something like bromcriptine again since the only hormone I can see that would be causing gyno is the prolactin?

If you start taking pharmaceutical drugs now as a solution then you are just treating the symptom but not the cause. When you stop the drugs you will be back where you started without finding the underlying cause which might just be some deficiency.

First try to get your hormones right by taking in what your body naturally needs to make testosterone like healthy fats (which are also high in DAA), zinc, vit D for test. If your T is higher then nothing else will be an issue. Your E2 and prolactin are fine.

Of course you will feel fine if you start taking a low dose AI and cabaser but then what happens when you stop? You get impatient and start thinking TRT?

Your logic that it must be prolactin because your estradiol is off bud. That's not how gyno works. It's your male sex hormone:female sex hormone ratio that is most important.

Ok since surgery does not seem to be the best option I'm going to modify my diet and add some natural test boosting supplements and hope for the best.

I will keep the thread updated if anyone is experiencing the same problem.

My updated diet is as follows:

meal1
25g whey
1 tblspoon pnut butter

Meal2
200g meat
30g almonds
1cup broccoli

Meal3
200g meat
1 tblspoon olive oil
1cup broccoli

Meal4
200g meat
30g almonds
1cup broccoli

Pre workout
25g whey
100g oats

Post workout
25g whey

Meal5
200g meat
80g basmati rice

meal6
25g whey
1 tblspoon pnut butter

Meat choices are mostly chicken and steak.
This is close to my current diet I'm just adding almonds and replacing green beans with broccoli.

Supplements: 2g DAA and 500mg ZMA.

How long after your PCT did you do these tests? When did you run Bromocriptine and for how long at what dosage? Did you use an AI during or after cycle?
