Looting

Gosh, I was witnessing the shit happening in front of me, it was students from the student res, homeless blokes that sleep on the street and "car guard" during the day. It was fun for them, laughing and carrying bin bags full of shoes, clothing, etc. And did you guys see the Metro police caught on video looting Shoprite. The very people supposed to protect you are the ones stealing from you. It's madness. The police are so pathetic, some police stations even called on security and a "neighborhood watch" to come and protect them. It supposed to be the other way around, but it's civilians doing thier job. If ever there was a real life Frank castle, how we could do with him now...

It's hopeless, run by thieves, protected by thieves, protests by thieves for a thief...what hope is there for our future, our kids...

My lock-up got looted. Lost a camping trailer and a whole bunch of clothing as well toys and things I was hoping to keep for my kids.

Very upsetting.

Not exactly easy to do for everyone...what needs to be done, can't see it being done in a peaceful manner ... Things seem to deteriorate more and more....

Sorry bud, nothing directly personal to me, but the company I work had everything down to the cameras taken. And done so casually, using the packets in the store to fill up and walk out with. Packing bags and casually carrying it out ..

It will impact me as I may not have a job to go back to or most likely have huge salary cuts so they can "make up" the losses....

Sorry to hear. These animals who loot and destroy private property have no conscience. It's hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Move to the Cape. At least the ANC isn't running Cape Town. Much safer here and we're still far from being overrun by brainless beggars.

Seeing how new live shit is coming up and reading EFF comments is making me think that one more tip and this country is in a full-blown civil war. Ain't scared? Just read Julius' tweets the last 12hours.

Agree and stand by your community. Help protect your neighbours and others with the same interests as yours. The rioters do not stand a chance against a united community. These thugs will run like wild-asses as soon as they encounter strong resistance. They prey on the vulnerable and disorganised, stand together and you will conquer.

Julius never misses an opportunity for publicity.

At the moment the rioters are stealing groceries, booze and other material goods. Doesn't appear to have a strong political motivation, so civil war is not a concern yet. Zuma is most certainly not the problem, just an excuse.

My girlfriend works in centurion and yesterday night they started looting there, so I went to go and fetch her out of fear! I had myself armed the whole time while picking her up and told her to stay with me for now, the safer side of Gauteng. We can only rely on our communities and ourselves. Stay safe everyone! always help the Police force in these types of situations and let them lead it.
