Glucose fasting - 6.3mmol/L
S-Cholesterol - 5.4mmol/L
S-LDL Cholesterol 3.7mmol/L
S-HDL Cholesterol 1.2mmol/L
S-Non HDL Cholesterol 4.2mmol/L
S-Chol./HDL ratio 4.5
Triglyceride 1.2mmol/L

Waiting on the other results still. Should be in the morning

It takes a long time for the body to fix insulin resistance problems after years of abuse, but you are doing what you can to improve and those bloodwork numbers should improve. Cholesterol is not so bad. It will come down as you get in better shape.

If you were properly fasted when tested then you are prediabetic with a 6.3 fasted glucose and that could easily progress to type 2 diabetes, so you really did make these life changes at the right time. 6.3 is enough to be worried about.

Cut down on some of the carbs and add in some healthy fats instead. Your body is not optimally metabolising the carbs you consume. No need to shock the system with a drastic immediate change. Do it gradually.

Last meal was at 6:30 last night, test done at 7:30 this morning... had at most 200ml of water between the meal and test.

I could really get better, but it just shows how bad I am at the moment. With the current help I am getting I feel I am already in a much better position that I was in last year this time. My personal trainer and Doctor will have me ready in a jiffy and soon I will be out lifting all you gym bunnies!

Using a keto diet would reduce your glucose and turn a pre diabetic status around . Challenge is that the Keto diet in most instances increase cholesterol . Look at the 28 day diet. Type of food is really crappy but it does reduce weight and turn the metabolic illnesses around . As soon as you have reduced weight and have stabilized the blood work gaining muscle should be easier

You do realize type 1 diabetics run at over 30 for months before many of them realize they are actually diabetic, it's more things like thirst and other little signs that give it away. I have two brothers type 1 and ones wife who is also type 1. Running in the 6s and pushing a glucose of 7 is something to yamy over. Diabetics who struggle to control their glucose and find it hard to pickup when they going low live their life running a bit high.. So a guy who was 200kgs and has slightly elevated glucose? Who cares.. He doesn't need to do anything with carbs, he just needs to keep doing what he is doing and with weights / cardio and weight loss and keeping at it, he should have his hormones return to normal and so will his glucose. I'm not saying taking a decent dose or Glucophage isn't a bad idea, it's probably a good idea, but nowhere has he shown insulin levels.. And again even if it's 18, follow the diet Empire has given and do the weights and cardio and with the fat loss it will return, so there really is no need to even talk about type 2 / keto, etc
