Clearly he is outdated with what the rest of the world is doing.

You are dealing with people who are ignorant to why we use steroids but will happily have no issue with people sinking a bottle of wine and some benzos before bed. 1 has a stigma 1 doesn't. Simple as that.

One thing I realised over the last two years is that 90% of doctors are textbook puppets. They have been taught by the "system" to believe in the "system" so that they can sell the "system".

Dr. Sam Bailey is one of the rare ones worth listening to and in my opinion not one of the idiots.

This is her view on medical doctors and I agree: odysee.com/doctors-what-are-they-good-fo...eb0017d9e714fff849f3

Most doctors still regard themselves as gatekeepers to evil . Steroids are regarded evil by some .
Bigger evil is alcohol and Sugar - but those are acceptable sins . World area crazy place
Shout if you need assistance in organizing the lab tests

I have a Doctors friend who is very much into fitness. As most things are online at present. She is willing to evaluate bloodwork done by Body builders and give them feedback via email. Consults R 150 versus the R 450 plus of most GP's.
No medical aid claims from the Doctor - The Practice number etc would be on the invoice and you can claim back yourself.
No Coercion for Steroid scripts though - That is her only pre- requisite
All done online
Would there be interest in such service ?

A doctor charging a r150 a consult doesn't seem credible. And to be honest. I wouldn't go to him, unless he was a good friend of mine, for example LesDoctor and I have a great friendship and relationship where cheaper consults are fine, and we refer tons of people to each other, but I know him personally, this on the other hand is going to be a hard sell to anyone who understands that doctors charge R700 for a consult based on knowledge and experience. I wouldn't want go to the moon on a rocket built by the guy who did it cheapest.

No, a doctor told me that it is illegal to do consultations via email. I have not checked the legalities myself and don't care but it sounds dodgy.

Even if forum members were interested, you are not allowed to advertise or share contact details here so don't bother.

The idea was to make it affordable and not really to generate an income. The blood work is in any case already pretty expensive.
In any case I will let her know that the regular consults would be preferred versus a discounted price.
Telecom consults have been in the HPCSA fee structure for the past 20 odd years. The challenge was that patients had to be informed that they will be charged for the conversation. And now with COVID it was frequently used

Doctors consults have reduced with 60% in the last two years . Pushing up the fees was the only way most could manage. Only the best and busy ones are able to reduce their fees.

The reality of this subject is that it's the "Dark Side" of the Force. "Queue Imperial March" and heavy breathing.

We (by we I mean Doctors and Pharmacists), we are simply not taught nor do we learn this stuff.

Reasons are many,
1) no solid peer reviewed research because there is no way ANY Ethics committee will pass an application.
2) The various "legal" drugs are not registered for some of the uses we do use them for e.g hCG to smooth Test use, Clomiphene, Tamoxifen, Exemestane etc. (Although the AI's are now being used in older men with lower Test.
And because it's associated with abnormally high dosages of illegal AAS's no company is going to fund a study.

A few years ago there was a massive increase in the use of AAS's and a resultant massive increase in the use of hCG and Clomiphene. Companies placed moratoria on these that only e.g. fertility specialists could order the drugs.

The basic scenario is that there are Endocrinologists who do not know, and more so, could/would not prescribe drugs for off label use to combat Gyno etc.

Good judgement comes from experience.
Experience comes from bad judgement.
