Help Getting Back was created by Malbesete

Good day,

Need some help please.

Age: 51
Lenght : 1.71
Weight : 73
BF : plus - minus 20%
Smoker

Been out of the gym for a about 4.5 years time due to workload and injuries.
Had a bad 2022 so far feeling crappy, emotional and tired. Also been battling with ED.
Went to the DR a couple of times, eventually decided on bloods for age group checkup.

Dr prescribed cholesterol medication ( did not start using this )
He also suggested TRT ( Told him I will get back to him on this )
Went to donate blood the same day as the blood test, blood is thick with high Iron levels. Apparently not to high as they allowed me to donate.

Decided to give a lifestyle change a go
Changed my diet to a more healthy way, mostly air fryer foods ( chicken and veggies or salad ).
Back in the Gym, doing mostly cardio.

Don"t use any medication.
Taking 500mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid ED ( Saw Empire suggested for a guy with thick blood and high Iron levels)

Please help with advise to change blood levels

Will a protein diet, cutting out sugar and carbs be bad for LDL Cholesterol ?

Will a cycle on Test C ( starting at 100mg a week ) with a PCT 1, maybe help to correct levels,
instead of going on TRT.

Any advise will be appreciated.
Greetings

I had good results using cardarine for cholesterol LDL reduction. Took a while but was significant

What levels are you helping to correct using 100mg a week of test? Your test, cholesterol or thick blood?
I dont think it will help with any of it to be honest
Have you had bloods done to help determine your T levels, FSH, estrogen etc?

ok so looking at this that is just the first line. 1 are you a smoker? 2 do you snore heavily at night? 3 how much cardio are you doing?

ok, fasting glucose isn't great, and probably that is probably due to a shitty diet, bad insulin sensitivity, and low activity. so yes cleaning up the diet and getting active is going to change your health.

with testosterone levels like that, it is no wonder that your cholesterol is high. Remember, your cholesterol is needed to manufacture endogenous sex hormones in the body, so now that there is less than fuck all testosterone running around, your cholesterol has nothing to do in the body.

ok, so I suggested alpha-lipoic acid to chelate iron from the guy's blood, so you are taking 1 thing out of the context of everything else there are a whole bunch of other things that need to be thrown in there to make the benefits of taking that and keeping you healthy. cardio 3-5x a week for minimum 30mins at a heart rate of 130-140bpm is also something I suggest all the time, but that requires effort.

what is your blood pressure sitting at?

why are you scared of going on TRT, it will be life-changing for mood, libido, and life in general

Hi Empire,

Smoking - Hell of a thing to quit, but I'm working on it.
Snoring - Yes most of the days, dont sleep to well, dont sleep long periods.
Also take a trip to the loo 3 times minimum at night.
Cardio - only back in the gym for 2 weeks now.
Start with treadmill, rowing and cycling. About 45min per night but not at that heart rate. Will get there.

Alpa -lipoic Acid - Thought the Iron and thickness of the blood was a good place to start while I am looking for help.

Blood pressure 133/79

Word Replacement in TRT ( for life ). Thought I will see if there is anything else that will help to get things up and running. Trust issues.

Please feel free to make any recommendation. I trust you.

Sleep apnea explains with the smoking. Not enough oxygen in the body. Once the weight is off the bathroom breaks will stop.

Ok so you happy with where you are with your health for the rest of your life? Taking a jab once a week to make you feel 100x better? Its a no Brainer. And let's put it this way, what if you last 9 years at current way of life, but taking get gives you 20 years? Is that so much of a worry that it is giving you longevity?

Your first thing should he sorting out diet, start just by tracking your food intake for 2 weeks in fat secret, don't change what you are doing. Just track it. That with daily measurements for 2 weeks that way you can see what your body is doing at a certain calorie level. Either weight going up or weight going down etc

Just do it, don't say you'll get there just do it, it will be hard, but you need to start and easing into things is just bullshit. Take control and do your thing

Morning,

Ok so you happy with where you are with your health for the rest of your life?
No I'm not happy that is why I asked for help and started changing things. Regarding this post, its like getting a second opinion from a guy like you.
A lot of the Dr these days goes through patients like a worsmasjien, giving a pill for everything.

Taking a jab once a week to make you feel 100x better? Its a no Brainer.

Just do it you say.
I will start with Test C on Sunday. Not going the medical route. A jab once a week. What dosage would you suggest ? 2-3 mg x body weight ?

Tracking my diet will surely not help at this stage, I first need to get a diet. I don't eat regularly. Maybe snack on something in the morning with a dinner at night. I started eating healthy foods but there's still no meal plan.
Planning on working out a meal plan this weekend, with 3 meals a day. I will do measurements and take it from there, with your help if you don't mind. I'm not looking for a wonder diet, just a normal healthy meal plan. I will then run that diet for 2 weeks like you said.

Busy working through your diet posts.

Thanks for your time bud !

well if you aren't eating regularly start with something basic and track the calories and your weight for the first 2 weeks.

clinical TRT is 1mg per kg. start there and see how you feel and then go up.

Yes 1mg per kg is the start..if you aren't really training at this point and still getting your diet right, start there and when things get better then look at going up. But to make you feel better 75mg-100mg of test a week is going to do wonders.

The first place should be starting with the training, more muscle is going to be a better option than just cardio vascular work.

2.5g of protein per kg. 73 x2.5 = 182g x 4 = 730kcal Fat 1g per kg. Is 73g x9 =657. Balance comes from carbs. I would suggest starting at 2100 kcal and move up from there. Simple.

You should feel it within the first 3 weeks..
