MEDICAL AID AND GYNO

Hi all 
has anyone had gyno surgery covered by medical aid?
would be interested to know how you went about it

Not covered by Medical Aids unless the tissue is deemed malignant. If it's benign gynocomastia, it is deemed cosmetic.

I did have it covered but mine was motivated by an endo regarding endocrine issues and high aromatase, also it was for pain and not for looks. After providing blood work, etc and showing them he has it under control it was authorized, I think you have very little chance unless you have a big history or data showing them an endocrine issue and not inflicted.
