My bloodwork was created by Wayne
Hi guys. So did my bloods and got results, not sure how worried to be, but these are the few worrying factors, creatinine is 118, range is 80-115, egfr is 65, a year or so back it was 69. Hemoglobin is 19.7, range 13-18.

Testosterone is 10.3, I do 100mg cypionate once a week trt, normally take a jab on a Friday, didn't take my jab as went for bloods on Sunday, so that figure is day 9 from last jab. So will have to maybe do Testosterone again but try and go within 3 or 4 days from jab and see if any difference. All others in range.

So....how worried should I be with the above....

It's difficult for guys with above average muscle mass to get an accurate reading on kidney health because muscle mass directly affects creatinine levels. Then on top of that, lifting heavy weights breaks down muscle tissue which increases creatinine levels in the blood. eGFR is calculated based on Creatinine blood levels.

You could get a more accurate test result if you take at least a few days off lifting before doing the bloodwork.

Do everything you can to keep your blood pressure in a good range. High BP is a primary cause of kidney damage. There's no coming back once your kidneys are fucked.

Thanks MA. I actually did get the bloods done with me being a week out of training and preworkouts....and I think kidneys did get dodgy cos I had not treated my high BP for a couple of years when I was younger....need to start monitoring it diligently again, but last was around 120 -80 to 130-90 range.

Also good to check the urine, blood / protein (leaky kidney) if you very worried you can do a scope, but that might just confirm it's just a leak kidney and nothing more will come from it and then you can also do a test where they do a biopsy on.. and then I recall there being a new blood marker that could be used but I might have been mixing that up with some other thing in the conversation I had with someone.

As MA said the biggest thing you can do is keep your blood pressure low, try be under 120/80  as much as possible than even the 130/80 .. I used to run high, now I'm running just over 110 over 50 maybe 60 something, it just requires allot of effort on your part.

Thanks pump...any advice on what that "effort" entails...I remember you having kidney issues that you managed to reverse....what was your secret? For current been taking taking DJ's advice on the supplements to take, have fasting coming up, so will likely get bloods done a week or 2 after fasting...

Hmm, there is so many things. You only get 1 shot at the age you at and only 1 shot at this life, see how fit you can get yourself. I have a friend who went from couch potato to a comrades runner in the space of two years. If running isn't you thing, swim, surf, cycle, skate, whatever, just try see how far you can take it on a health route. I went from a bulky bodybuilder to 93.4 this morning, from only being able to walk with effort to burning 1150 calories in an hour 30 surf. I also average 12k steps a day. Be mindful of everything you put in your body, learn to delay gratification, distance yourself from negative energy as stress hormones effect your blood pressure, visualize what that you new looks like, and in 6 months reevaluate your health and I can assure you will be surprised where you at. You can't keep doing the same thing and expect a different result, no pill or injection is going to be a solution, try a different approach, the intense training will boost your endorphins and you going to see much color in your life. That's just a couple things you can do, a pill only sends signals, your body is what cures or destroys itself.
