morning or evening training? was created by Wayne
Hey, just wondering, whats you guys thoughts on training in the morning or in the evening? Does it make a difference as to when you train? I am pretty used to training in the evenings, find my workouts more enjoyable and productive in terms of strenght...Now to the problem, when i start pickin up my dumbells, my 20 month old daughter is right there insisting i hand the dumbells over to her and she keeps pointing and screaming to my vitamin packs and wont stop till i give her something, generally everythin she spits out except brewers yeast:silly: ...So havin less power and strenght in the mornings and training, how much of a difference wil it make to my muscle building needs???

Hey Bro,

I also train in the evenings but preping for my comp I did cardio in the morning and muscle groups in the evenings. I personally find I'm weaker in the morning because I haven't really fueled my body for the workout. Where as in the evenings I have all those carbs and protein in my system, through my daily day intake. So I think my body is geared up for a good workout.

That's just my theory behind it. Just remember the food is making you grow really, the workout it just to stimulate the muscle. I think your muscle building would be the same, as long as you train with the same intensity as you do in the evenings.

that would a problem now, i dont have the intensity in the mornings when i am half asleep! I guess thats just something in the blood, maybe if i get a Dorian Yates video and watch it every morning, that ought to help!

I have being trying to abs in the mornings at home, so i dont have to do them at gym, but i find trying to do them in the mornings, my abs go into cramp, because i think my muscles are still too cold, and have not stretched.

Give it a shot, you're only TESTing it...

People,
There is some of us that haven't got a choice of training times. Except for working hours there is one factor that forces me to train at 05h00 every morning......I train at VA in the North of Pretoria. Do me a favour and first try to get in there from 18h00 and then get on an apparatus or search for a dumbell that is spreaded over the entire floor. It seems that not only do they get the company car, the company house, benefits galore, but they also get a VA membership for free..........
No thanks, 5o'clock it will stay.

If everybody does it, is it still cheating?
