Hey Dirk, i watched that show on Discovery, "Alaska's greatest race". In there they raved about these dogs being at their happiest < 20 degs(Fahrenheit/C??). How do they cope in the heat here? Isn't that the same as taking a Camel to Alaska?

Their coats will insulate them from heat as well as cold to a certain degree. but i hear they're pretty destructive, digging all over the place. and they shed like yaks. how abut one of those small ones you can put in your gym bag to guard your socks and stuff..the little dog like britney had

dude i'm a man, i dont want a little yapper ... They are fine with the heat, i have a pool and they jump in if it gets too hot ... but steroido is right, they do regulate their own body temps

Jack & the dogs they showed on that show is not purebreds eh, they are a mix of a few breeds ... but my old boy digs it to sleep in the rain, could not be bothered

i saw this blind chick with a guide dog. the way that dog lead her through traffic lights and street corners was just amazing. how on earth do they train those dogs to do that? i was quite impressed.
