"Off Topic" forum rule added - All members read!

Hi guys,

Our site has grown enormously over the last couple of months and as a result our forums have become quite active. (BTW: Thanks to everyone for their participation in South Africa's largest steroid community.)

It recently came to my attention while preparing tomorrow's major site update that members are frequently high jacking threads and going off topic. In the past this also happened, but since we only had a small number of members it was easily kept under control.

In theory going off topic is not a site violation as there is no rule in place to guide members. So, I've added the following rule to the site in the next update:

Rule 13:

After reading and posting at the forum of Anabolic Steroids SA for awhile you may feel as though you have developed friendships with some, perhaps many, of the other posters and readers. This is probably one of the most rewarding parts of participating in a discussion area. It is only natural to occasionally want to share information with your friends that is "Off Topic" (i.e. not related to the subject matter of the forum you are in).

While it may at first seem harmless to post a bit about off topic (OT) subjects, it can become a slippery slope. If others join in on OT posts then soon everybody has sent the discussion threads on so many tangents that it is difficult to follow the original topic. People come to the Anabolic Steroids SA forums looking for all kinds of information. It is not polite to post off topic items frequently.

Members are more than welcome to start a topic on any subject in the General section as long as it doesn't interfere with the rules. For example, lets say the topic is about "Rugby" then everyone that post there must stick to Rugby as the primary discussion and no other topic for Rugby may be created...

Members are also requested to only post if they can make some kind of contribution on the subject, criticism are also welcome as long as the rules are kept in mind and knowledge can be gained.

Thanks for your continued support in helping us improve and grow... and not only physically, but also in knowlage.

So what happens when someone hijacks the thread?

champ i think we also need to have different sections in the anabolics section where people can place threads in there about substances such as deca,equi,tren,winstrol etc. this way people will not ask the questions over and over again about deca and sust combinations!
