Forum rules - Double standards? was created by Inja
Hey guys, I've noticed a trend on the forum over the years that's been buggin me a bit.

In the forum rules its states one cannot ask for sources or post prices etc... When someone contravenes this rule they are severely reprimanded. Sworn at, called out, etc...

Now, in the forum rules there is also a disclaimer that states that one cannot post material that is obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or embarrassing to another User or any other person or entity. However in direct contradiction to this rule I see a lot of comments made on this forum that could be at some stage interpreted as defamatory to certain individuals.
In particular these comments concern Black people and Homosexuals (and before you draw conclusions I am neither black nor homosexual).
In fact I remember earlier this year when a member of this forum (who was I think a valued addition) actually spoke out with regards to one of the comments that was made about black people, as he was black himself.

I would like to bring this issue to the forefront.
Is it just me, or are we creating double standards???

Sorry if I offend you
Its just my point of view

I think anything resembling racist, defamatory remarks etc should be left out of the forum completely. Got no problem with sarcasm and obviously one member having a bit of a go at another member is all in good fun (Provided the other member is also laughing!). Lets remember why we're on these forums and remember to read the title on the homepage (Anabolic Steroids.co.za.....Aah! So thats what we should be talking about!) before rushing off to the forum and posting what ends up being a waste of space and, for the guys with slow internet speed :P , a waste of time.

With you on that one Inja. For those that want to talk shit go open yourself a damn Facebook account ;)

I have to agree with Inja on this one, there are plenty of racist and inequality remarks on this forum here and there and if members are not noticing them its because its not an issue to them. But I think its important that people watch what they say because even though one person may not find a comment offensive then just put yourselves in the other one's shoes and you may just find it offensive.
