Used Needle was created by milktuds

This might sound stupid, don't know much about this topic so help out.

My friend injected me in the quad today, when he pulled the syringe/needle out it somehow dropped out of his hand and pricked him on the forearm. Little blood came out. He squeezed the area hard to get blood out and then cleaned it with an alcohol prep pad. I haven't got AIDS or anything (went for testing for insurance policies and stuff)

So what are his changes of contracting HIV or anything? Or what should he do next?

If you don't have diseases and the wound is not deep, cleaning it with alcohol should be fine.

Are you comfortable with some-one that clumsy injecting you? :huh:

If your friend is worried about hiv, even though u say u dont hav it, your friend can get antiretrovirals at a clinic. I think they will make u a little sick but better safe than sorry

Don't know what the fuck he was doing or thinking, first time he's been clumsy. I am scared of needles so that's why he injects me. I just close my eyes.

I haven't got anything so he should be fine then, he doesn't seem worried at all.

He also uses gear, like I said I can't inject myself. Did it once took me an hour to pin.

As far as I know. If aid comes into contact with air it dies , and if the temperature is not right , it also dies.

That small amount of blood would of cooled down dramatically (as in body temp wise )
killing and potential virus .

Actually the HIV virus can remain infectious for some time if the conditions are right. Several hours to several days depending on the circumstances. The colder and wetter the better. Frozen in the right buffer you can keep it for months.

ok ok,
Well he doesnt have HIV so his buddy is fine. Besides from an accidental pin prick you actually need a lot of HIV to become infected.
