The green bar and online status was always there...

The green box next to the post subject is there to indicate which messages are new since you last opened the topic.

Oh ok cool, I know the online bar has always been there but I couldn't quite figure out the block. Guess all the new posts were made by online users... Leading me to my conclusion.

So howcome the blocks all stay green when I open the topic again after a new post comes through

sticking to the routine although a few xmas pies surely can't hurt.
nothing is changing, this is my time to better myself while others are being lazy.
taking a break, I need it to focus on next year.

And I only have one small complaint about the new layout,
there are no "Recent Topics, Index, Search, etc." buttons/links to be seen when you are viewing a specific thread... Can you add them please kind sir?

Will check the time and thanks for that because I didn't notice.

As for the buttons that go missing when you view topics, I'm aware of this and it seems to be a bug in the new forum template. I believe it should be fixed when the stable version is released.
