I WOULD BE INTERESTED HAHA not to be malicious, but just out of curiosity!!!
Just started mucking about on PC and router settings lately, so any and all knowledge would be cool.
To me it seems Very hard now a days to be able to gain access to somebody's personal computer via a hack.
Thoughts?

As admin said your windows firewall would do the trick... the firewalls that come with things like ZoneLabs, etc are program firewall ability to block ports, etc..
Best method if you want your system secure, create a 'limited account' that can't install any software and just be able to run applications and bang no way you can open that dodgey e-mail or application and backdoor your system.
and if you intrested in all that type of security stuff, as admin said, study 'security' and you will learn ways to defend yourself as that is what an admin has to do, so you can just as easly hack systems if you know how to test your system for security breaches etc..
Go to qualys website and subscribe to their security news letter this way you can stay up to date with what programs are vulenrable, etc...
also if you intrested in security and stuff you need to learn how to code and pretty low level too then start playing with some unix os (openbsd / fbsd) or a linux OS (debian or gentoo) other flavours are ok, I prefure gentoo as you can 'compile' you programs with different cflags, etc to speed up the applications as they compiled for your arch, etc...
good luck, if you like I can give you access to my old hack.co.za archive?

Ya, Im still in the very, very early stages of learning about routers and firewalls etc .... like sub A level
On a most basic level, would this be correct...
I visit site ( A )( B )( C ) only ...
I configure the firewall to block all connections then add a rule to allow it to connect to ( www.A.com ) and ( www.B.com ) etc ????

Thanx N3rd. Seems to work almost like UAC does. It doesn't sound familiar so I most likely didn't use ZA and probably used something else.
My question still stands though, if I want to manually add rules to say a 3rd party firewall.(just out of interest)
